What to say here.
I like things...I like people.
I'm picky about people, i have very little room for people who need others to be "whole". I am VERY Independant. I have found someone in life to be my friend and partner in all the aspects of my life and I am happy with where that is right now.
I dance.
I am Artistic Director of Zingari-East Fusion Dance Collective, a Middle Eastern influenced fusion dance group who performs around Southern New England at various events both public and private. I like where the group is going, we have a "season" in the warmer months and are becoming known...bit by bit. We are growing as a group, a performing body and a family. We are open to new members of like talent and mind, and our dancers come and go as they see fit.
I teach BellyDance. Currently i teach at the The Spot on Thayer, 286 Thayer Street, Providence RI on Wednesday nights at 6pm. I teach private lessons in my home on a one-on-one basis, at my sole descretion. It is my home and sanctuary, I am allowed to be as selective as i feel the need may be.
I never used to like to have my picture taken. This has changed. I am very selective about who photographs me, although when performing my restrictions are lessened because i appreciate that people want a freeze frame of what i am doing. It warms the heart a little.
I have cats. I drive a Volkswagen. I love my house. I have a pear shaped figure. Nothing i do will change that...no matter how many dietary mistakes i may have made in my lifetime, i have always evened out at a pear-ish shape. Thankfully, this is conducive to my chosen art form.
I like music. I like B movies. I could list a bunch of bands but i find that to be a bit over the top...i live with a DJ. I like his collection. I like anything from the cheezy 80's songs/rap attempts that we are all guilty of knowing all the words to. I like industrial music, LOUD STOMPY music! I like Goth music. I like classical music, i like jazz (even though it reminds me of that HUGE mistake i made in my teenage years), i like the Beatles AND the Stones. I like Salt N'Peppa, i like Louis Prima. I HATE COUNTRY. I am guilty of watching American Idol, Americas Next Top Model and Project Runway.
