About Me

This week's picture(s) of the week is of Andy & Nick, attempting to perform a keg stand on this miniature heineken keg. I don't think they were able to gulp down some brew, but it was really fun to watch them try. Have some laughs this week, on us.
Until next Monday my friends:)
Below we have a slide show of all our past "Pictures of the Week." Just incase you've missed any, they're all there for your enjoyment...
The Hack-Ma-Tack Inn is a fine dining restaurant located on the Cheboygan River right at the mouth of beautiful Mullett Lake. The Hack-Ma-Tack is nestled between towering trees and greenery, with picturesque windows looking out at raccoons, squirrels, & birds.
The building is over 100 years old, built in 1894. Beginning as a hunting and fishing lodge, the Hack-Ma-Tack has a rich and interesting history. Four stories high, the building has a bell tower, used to announce lunch & dinner for the fishermen on the lake and the hunters in the woods.
Hack-Ma-Tack Inn was named after the Native American word for Tamarack..."Hack-Ma-Tack". The restaurant is mostly built with strong tamarack logs, along with cedar. There are 22 rooms on the second story, and wonderful views onto the Cheboygan river.
The atmosphere of the restaurant has a rustic elegance with a uniqueness that one has to experience for themself.

The Legend of
The Big-Black-Bass

The Cheboygan flowed from Mullett to Huron and upon it's banks shaded by the birches, stood Oskeloosa, daughter of Hackmatack.

As she viewed the setting sun, over the river, her heart was saddened by the thought of the curse placed upon her by Chick-a-gami, to whom her Father had refused her hand.

Chick-a-gami vowed that she should share no mans tepee until "He" came as the captor of the "Big-Black-Bass" and removed the Indian sign.

The birches parted, and there stood before her a handsome man, finally Oskeloosa said "Who are you?"

"I am Omean, a Huron fisherman. I have heard it said that the Captor of the "Big-Black-Bass" shall have the daughter of Hackmatack, to share his teepee."

As Oskeloosa looked upon the Huron, he found favor in her eyes and she said "That is true, and thus he gains two prizes."

Many years she awaited the return of Omean, until finally she and Hackmatack left for the Happy Hunting Grounds.

Omean in spirit, and through his protegees still pursue the Chase of the Big-Black-Bass that the Indian sign may be removed.

Thus beginneth the Tribe of the "SEEKERS OF THE BIG-BLACK-BASS".
