So many Artists have been know to take flight with their own creativity of embellishing a piece of music with style and flair. One of these special artists goes by the name of Mindy Le. Coming from a strong Vietnamese Family enriched with moral ethnics, music was just viewed as a hobby or an outlet. However, Mindy felt music was much more than that. When she was about 6 years old, her mother bought a baby grand piano for her, just thinking that the instrument would be another play toy. Though, that was not the case. Mindy took the toy and transformed it into an easel...an easel that allowed her to paint exquisite music masterpieces.
This singer, songwriter, musician, and performer was acclaimed as Houston's Regional winner for ..The Maybelline You Think You Got It- singing competition.. in 2004 by judges that included Ciara( female artist know for hit single-Goodies,One-Two Step) and Darrin Hanson ( Dance Cheorographer-Nsync and Brittany Spears/ Actor).
In late 2004 to 2006- she was part of Matthew Knowles(Beyonce's Father) Houston's Project Popstar, where she was part of a music girl group that was under artist development. There, she had the opportunity of experiencing the same practices and routines of a music boot camp that the girls of Destiny Child were put through when they were younger. With the group, she had the opportunity of gracing the same stages with Christina Milian, Jojo, Ryan Cabberra, Simple Plan, Vannessa Carlton, and Avril Lavigne as the opening act for Houston's 104.1 Jingle Jam Concert. As time pass, Mindy felt that being in a group was not for her and also that her education needed to also be revamped.
When she left the group in early 2006, she headed back to her high school where she took on the role of Class President and organized events that would give back to her community and student's her own age, who wished to have a great Senior Year and Prom Night. In the spring of 2006, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors and was ..3 in her class. Up to this day, Mindy continues to pursue her music and her education at the same time. She presently attends The University of Houston, where she is a Biology Major. With music, she is currently working with Dav Hall, an extraordinary music artist, producer, arranger, and composer. Mindy's main goal in life is to help others, she quotes,"I believe that music has an incredible healing power that can cure any soul..I want my music to take on this role..this is what I strive for..this is what I live for".
