About Me

Some say if you build it. It will come, but in this case if you find it, he will rise to the occasion and shock the world. Fresh from Kansas, somewhere in Lawrence, you won’t find too many record labels, you won’t find no A & R’s, or record producers, nor will you find a rapper more determined and focused then Cue. Birth name Quincy Cosey, the 25 year old rapper, has been waiting since the age of 9 to become something or someone great. The high school football and basketball standout was quite the athlete, senior year he had scholarships offers to almost any division 1 schools in the country. At the age of 16, Cue signed with the label 501, Where he was featured on a couple of compilations. And released a couple of his own singles. Although they were underground they still managed to sell well. Right after that the streets called, hustling, banging, robbing, getting money, you know all of that gangsta shit. For years the underground star wasn’t even rapping much, it was the year of his senior year, when his kinfolk ran into this Baltimore cat named Ock, for months his kinfolk said to him “that you and Ock on the same label, the game is over!” Cue being Cue, with his cockiness wasn’t really trying to listen to his kinfolk he was too busy doing what he was doing to hear out his kinfolk, for years Cue was always on his own recording just doing his thing with him and his homeboy E, who always handled Cue’s business aspects. Then one cloudy, foggy day, Cue and his kinfolk just so happened to go out to the hood to visit Cue’s sister. When strolling through the hood, the door popped open and this big dude by the name of Ock stepped out, and was like “yo.” and his kinfolk was like, “Yeah, Cue that’s my dude that’s the one I’ve been talking about.” I guess it was all meant to be a couple of months later that’s when Ock started the record label Blackout Records, the label recorded one of the most serious compilations, but due to some controversy, the album was never released, although the label split, Cue, Ock and E remained label mates. Two months later, Ock went back home to Baltimore, Cue went back home to the L, and E stayed in the Top. With all that said I guess you could say It’s a write up for nothing, out of touch for a year, you would just think they were blowing in the wind, but think again, more liquor, more weed, still drunk, still high, Ock hit E, E hit Cue and the earth axle was spinning once again.
