I can assure you there are no parties going on.

About Me

I'm all about leisure, relaxing, meditating, free time, cultivating hobbies, etc. Most days I watch paint dry or frollick in fields.Okay, I'm lying. I'm in school and work full time and always overcommit and am always running around and picked up the habit of being late and sometimes I think I've forgotten how to breath. Time feels VERY precious these days. But, I am more than happy to finally be pursuing my dream of a life of creative expression and am willing to sacrifice my soul and possibly my first-born to make it happen. Not that I'm into sacrificing people or anything wierd like that.Okay, I'm going to stop writing now."TO CREATE ONE'S WORLD IN ANY OF THE ARTS TAKES COURAGE." -Georgia O'Keefe

My Interests

In no particular order...going out to eat, accesorizing, stalking myspace, journaling, volunteering, jogging, long walks, long bike rides exploring different areas of the city, observing life and quiet moments of humanity, hiking, emotion-evoking movies, surrounding myself with people who have stories, catching a beer at a pub, thrift shopping, antique hunting, social issues primarily inner-city, health, or environmentally-related, people's travel stories, other cultures and ways of life, fashion, studying eras of syle and design, hearing about and experiencing other people's different forms of expression, art projects, home-cooked meals, candles, Chicago pizza, and Queens Ava and Audri.

myspace background

I'd like to meet:

Well, I have taught English in China, studied in Ireland, travelled to Africa, followed a relationship to Morman Utah, worked in the ghetto in Baltimore, etc. I've lead a pretty charmed life full of a potpourri of characters. But, alas, I've hung up my wings (not for good!) to rediscover my roots in Chi-Town. So, as far as who I 'd like to meet--just about anyone!!! I love people who are different and I love people who dare to be different even more!

Music:

I could name random eclectic bands to sound cool and interesting, but rather I would like to say that I just purchased a ticket to Chicago, live in concert on June 30 and I'm REAL happy.

Movies:

Top Three: Life is Beautiful, When Harry Met Sally, Stand By Me

Television:

Happily back to a TVless existence.

Books:

I just read a great memoir, The Tender Bar by JR Moehringer. Good stuff. Highly recommend it.

Heroes:

My best friend, Lauren. Stevi. Kris. And any other people who are bold enough to dream big and break away from everything they know. Oh yah, and Judith Light.

Long Winded Order

I think I'll go with the special. So, I'd like a fulfilling career with some fun and interests on the side. But, if the career is so flavorful that it takes over the taste of my life, I'd like the&nbs...

So lame.

How can it be that I am excersizing every day and yet the numbers climb? Oh those numbers! Those stupid fucking numbers. Little judges of my self worth. Those cruel unbiased, can't be persuaded,...

I just want to leave this office and go outside and play!

Still packing a lot into my days. A fate for the next few years that I sealed with a signature. Signing quiet reflective time away for five minute meals on the fly and constantly breaking time into ma...

Aaaahhhh, Christmas. . .

Can reality really feel more comfortable than my dreams?

Last night I was walking through the rooms of a foreign house and they were all looking at me lovingly, though I felt they were judging me. Their embraces were warm, but I feel cold when I think ...

I Choose this Ambiguity

I see them and they have that laptop too. And their shoes look strangely like mine. They're listening to the same song. And their stickers rage. Their tea cools next to their journals. Her scarf is my...

This Life Fades Away Into the Past

When are you going to come in and take me away from the thoughts of loneliness in my head? Make it all okay and take me to bed. And laugh and live and hurt and cry and I'm with you and you hold me and...
