In no particular order...going out to eat, accesorizing, stalking myspace, journaling, volunteering, jogging, long walks, long bike rides exploring different areas of the city, observing life and quiet moments of humanity, hiking, emotion-evoking movies, surrounding myself with people who have stories, catching a beer at a pub, thrift shopping, antique hunting, social issues primarily inner-city, health, or environmentally-related, people's travel stories, other cultures and ways of life, fashion, studying eras of syle and design, hearing about and experiencing other people's different forms of expression, art projects, home-cooked meals, candles, Chicago pizza, and Queens Ava and Audri.
myspace background
Well, I have taught English in China, studied in Ireland, travelled to Africa, followed a relationship to Morman Utah, worked in the ghetto in Baltimore, etc. I've lead a pretty charmed life full of a potpourri of characters. But, alas, I've hung up my wings (not for good!) to rediscover my roots in Chi-Town. So, as far as who I 'd like to meet--just about anyone!!! I love people who are different and I love people who dare to be different even more!
I could name random eclectic bands to sound cool and interesting, but rather I would like to say that I just purchased a ticket to Chicago, live in concert on June 30 and I'm REAL happy.
Top Three: Life is Beautiful, When Harry Met Sally, Stand By Me
Happily back to a TVless existence.
I just read a great memoir, The Tender Bar by JR Moehringer. Good stuff. Highly recommend it.
My best friend, Lauren. Stevi. Kris. And any other people who are bold enough to dream big and break away from everything they know. Oh yah, and Judith Light.
