A name to be heard through out the Pittsburgh area. UBS started as a small dream in a barn in Greensburg PA, when Steve Mannella was introduced to Ben Pardus. With a passion for music, the two set out jamming every day that they could. They looked to further themselves, by adding Jake Mains on bass and Dom Smarra on vocals. After a few shows under their belt, UBS realized that they needed a little extra feel in their music and brought in friend and guitarist, Kyle Vogel. With Kyle in the mix, things would change forever. Eventually, Kyle would step up to front man, changing the line-up completely. UBS would grow upon the local music scene, beginning to make a name for themselves. Several line-up changes and hard times caused UBS to need to change. Out of UBS, Avelyne was formed. With all the changes the boys went through, they figured a new name would be key. Playing a couple shows under the group name Avelyne, the boys finally found the solid line-up they needed, with new guitarist Nick Molnar. With things not feelign quite right since the name change, the boys decided it would be best to get back to their roots, reforming as Under Black Skies. Getting back to their roots, the boys hope to finish what they started: wowing crowds, writting music for the world and enjoying every fan they acquire along the way.
