I like all sorts of music, from post-hardcore-screamo-emo to semi-melodic-techno-funk. Here are some artists/bands I like at the moment: Radiohead: Thom Yorke has a beautiful voice, and Radiohead are one of the few guitar bands who genuinely strive to do something different. Finally saw them live in August 2006 and I'm still trying to get my head round how good they were. Squarepusher: Absolute fucking genius. Also a bit special live, and one of the greatest bassists of all time. He can do anything: absolute ear-raping noise, or the most beautiful songs you've ever heard. Bright Eyes: I'd been waiting to see Bright Eyes live for so long, and when they played at Leeds Uni in march they blew my mind. 'One Foot in Front of the Other' is one of my favourite songs of all time. DJ Shadow: Leg-end! His DVD 'In Tune+On Time' is the shiznit, and 'Midnight in a Perfect World' has gotta be the most chilled tune ever.I also love: Mr Scruff, Air, Sparklehorse, Lee Scratch Perry, the Herbaliser, MF Doom, Evil 9, Mampi Swift, Nick Drake, Guided by Voices, Talking Heads, Fun Loving Criminals, Venetian Snares, Desaparicedos, Outkast, RJD2, Roni Size, Pixies, eels, Roots Manuva, the Clash, Nirvana, Deftones, Audio Bullies, Massive Attack, Aphex Twin, Blur, Chemical Brothers, Coldcut, 2ManyDJs, Rage Against the Machine, The Roots, System of a Down, Prodigy, Daft Punk, Mylo, Deltron 3030, Lemon Jelly, Michael Jackson, Bloc Party, Kasabian, Miles Davis, and the mono-browed purveyor of ultimate filth Chris de Burg. To name just a few! Listen to my musical project Robot Said Cars
The Big Lebowski, Amelie, Usual Suspects, Fear & Loathing, 21 Grams, Dancer in the Dark, Pulp Fiction, Buffalo 66, Talk to Her, Goodfellas...blahblahblah all the usual films.
Anything that features Bill Bailey. Spaced (which i've just realised features Bill Bailey). Alan Partridge. Anything by Chris Morris. Seinfeld. I bum Lost a bit too much. Music channels generally annoy me because for every good song they play there's 5 shit ones. Other than that I'm not too fussy about what I watch.
