Jumping into fluffy snowdrifts, swimming, sewing parkas, befriending worms, spiders and insects, blowing bubbles, picking berries, cooking yummy food and sharing it, planting flowers and eating them, making up alternate lyrics for pop songs, grabbing bums...
Pals who make me giggle 'till my tummy hurts. Girls and boys who have been in 4H club. Thugs, DJs and rockstars... but no kissing! People who like knitting, crochet, embroidery and sewing, dandylions, spiders and cats. Nice dogs with well behaved humans. Your grandma, seriously!
I love music... especially the most DANGEROUS band in the world: Dead Messenger. Ted is the nicest guitar teacher ever. He gave me a pink pick with turtle on it and he's really patient. A Tribe Called Quest, Ladytron, Air, Missy Elliot, Lil Kim, ODB, Bassment Jaxx, Annie, Fannypack, Zebda, Mc Solaar, Pony up! ...most cheesy music that promotes booty shakin' is irresistible.
Nobody Knows, Me and You and Everyone We Know, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, 8 Femmes, The Princess and the Warrior, La piscine, Water Drops on Burning Rocks, Elizabeth, Bend it like Beckham, Roman Holiday, anything with Gregory Peck, Death to Smoochy, Dogtown and Z-boys, X-men movies.
I don't own one, because they're ridiculously addictive, but I do watch Alias, The L Word and Desperate Housewives(so lowbrow!) on DVD... guilty as charged!
My favourite is "La vie devant soi" by Emile Ajar. Everything I've read by Haruki Murakami. "Skinny" by Ibi Kaslik, "Winterdance" by Gary Paulsen. I'm addicted to Dwell magazine, Finally, "Miss Spider's Tea Party" and "A Worm's Diary" are not to be missed!
Jane Goodall, Alana Coates, and Eloise from the books by Kay Thompson. I'm only half as mischeivious as she is... which is not bad at all.
