HELLO TO ROCKERS EVERYWHERE! I salute you!
Welcome to my site! .... I play lead guitar in a local band called Mister Scary. We play melodic hard rock/metal with a strong 80's influence (Dokken, Ozzy, Priest, Metallica, etc), basically meaning - when bands "USED TO ROCK!" ... We are based in Albuquerque, NM (USA), and mostly perform locally.
Those that know me are well aware that guitar playing and writing music is my absolute passion. I've been playing guitar for over 24 years, spent 10 years in Southern California during the late 80's metal LA scene until it was destroyed by the "Grunge Rock" bowel movement, which basically ended good music in America ... (Thankfully they still understand what real music is over in Europe and Japan) ...So these days I'm very happy & content to be writing music not to please any record label, but only to please myself and my band ... The way it was intended to be.
I now am contracted with BMI publishing, which allows me to write, publish, and sumbit my own songs and melodies to the masses. Thanks to sites like "myspace" musicians are able to sell and control their own music, so here's a salute to MYSPACE !!
As for my "non-music" life ... I graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1998 with a bachelors degree (Major- Criminology Minor- Psychology), and worked as a Private Investigator in Los Angeles and Albuquerque before finally settling into the family business. I own and run a successful Pawn Shop (THE HAPPY HOCKER) with my awesome sister, Mica, which allows me to have plenty of free time for my music and my wife. I couldn't ask for a better job. If you're tired of being ripped off by retail jewelers, come see us at the Happy Hocker. You'll be amazed at how much $$ you will save.
Now about my family ... I'm married to the most beautiful amazing woman in the world - my heart & soulmate, Debbie, who teaches 4th grade. On August 18, 2007, My wife gave birth to our first child, a beautiful baby boy, we named Kevin ... woo hoo!! So life is good in Morrow-land.
