I don't know what to say about myself. I am a total dork. I enjoy doing dorky things such as crossword puzzles, random craft projects, and the like. I just spent the past year and a half living in the mountains, doing the ski bum thing, and now I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my life, debating over whether or not to go back to school.

Unfortunately, in the middle of April, I lost my dog, who was the love of my life. Unfortunately he was only 4, but he had been suffering for nearly a year before his short life ended. If there are two lessons I learned from this, it is to never get a dog from a pet store, and pet insurance is a good investment. I am looking into getting another husky, which will probably happen before the summer is over if everything works out as planned.

I am a music freak. I love music. I have between 600 and 700 CDs, all of which are alphabetized, with the collection ever growing. (I have also been considered anal/OCD, which can be proven by the fact that all of my interests are also alphabetized). I also play the bass guitar. I'm still learning, so I'm not very good, but I dream of being in a band one day. I just got an acoustic guitar, but need to learn how to play it. Not to mention my electric guitar which is gathering dust against the wall of my room, because I think it's broken.

I absolutely love living in Colorado. I really couldn't picture myself anywhere else. I spent the past two winters working at Copper Mountain, got to snowboard almost everywhere in Colorado for free. While I was up there, I was working at a brewery in Frisco (best beer in the Summit County) and working weekends at a real estate office. I just recently moved back down to the Front Range and am working at a brewery in Westminster, which is great fun.

Like I said, I'm a dork, a dog lover, a music freak and a beer snob. I think that's the best way to summarize me.

My Interests

my dog, music, movies, sports, photography, bass guitar, snowboarding, reading, nature, writing, acoustic guitar, oil pastels, mountains, rafting, kayaking, beer

I'd like to meet:

People who are into similar stuff. I know, vague, huh? Basically someone who is interested in outdoor activities, and/or someone who is interested in similar music and going to shows around the Denver area. Anyone who has wonderful and unique stories to tell. People who can teach you things you couldn't even begin to learn through a formal education. People who inspire. Someone who can make me laugh, make me cry, and make me feel pain (or another emotion) all at once. Someone who can make me laugh so hard I start hyperventilating (and yes, that did actually happen to me the other night!)

My Blog

apology

Yes, I do realize I always post blogs when I'm really pissed off.  And I do promise that one day I will be able to put something in here that isn't so angry.  But right now not much else has...

roommates are awful people

You know, when I moved away from Silverthorne, I thought I had enough issues.  I was dealing with a sick dog, trying to survive after being unemployed for two months, and even more shit.  So...

random written garbage

So I am sitting here typing away, while I should be packing.  Or doing laundry.  Or picking up some of that last minute stuff I need before I go to Vegas.  Yes, this weekend I'm going t...

new places, new faces, new graces?

I know I just moved in here.  And I know I signed a year long lease (scary).  But...any thoughts for where I should move after this is all said and done?  I'm not sure if I want to stay...

when it rains it pours

Yes, another negative post.  But there isn't much good going on right now. On the bright side, my knee was just a deep bone bruise.  The bruise itself surfaced over the weekend, and it's pre...

Down the toilet

Ok, I'm really not a negative person, even though my last update was kind of negative (woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day), but my life is really getting messed up right now.  Raleigh'...

I seriously think one day I'm going to become a crazy dog lady.  Pretty much like a crazy cat lady, except that it will be Raleigh rather than cats.  (I like kittens, I just can't stand cats...
