That's right folks, my first cover! The photo was taken off the end of my family's dock down in Lake Weir on Thanksgiving morning 2005. My family went down there to celebrate the holiday, and as usual, I woke up very early with my daughter Josie. It was an extremely foggy morning and we walked to the end of the dock, camera in hand of course, and I snapped a bunch of photos of the lake including this one of the 3 fisherman. I am not much of a nature photographer, but enjoy it when I get a chance. I loved the photo so much I printed a 30x40 canvas and hung it in our lake house.Last June my dad found a contest that Florida Wildlife Magazine was running for photos of Florida wildlife, and all I had to do was send in an 8x10 print. I sent in my single image and never heard about it again. I finally got a call before Christmas telling me I won the Grand Prize~the COVER! I was shocked, especially later when I read that there were over 950 entries and photographers could enter up to 20 photographs!?I am so excited….I had to share!
