Born in Brittany(Dinan), Yann Benoist lives in Paris since mid 76 . At 8 his parents enrolled him to the music academy . Then he got his first guitar when he was 11 . At 18 he was singing and playing with a lot of local bands in Britany and Normandy . He studied with Pierre Cullaz( famous sessionman in Paris ) during year 75 and got a certificate from Berklee School of music the year after . He has been present on the Paris musical scene for many years . His versalitty gave him all along these years the opportunity to work on stage as well as in studio with a lot of famous and successful French Artists : Gilbert Bécaud ,Serge Lama,Renaud,Francis Cabrel,JL Lahaye,Mireille Mathieu,Dorothée,Maurane,Smain,Sheila(music director for Olympia 89 and 02),William Sheller,Sacha Distel,Julien Clerc,Marcel Azzola, Patricia Kaas,Hugues Aufray,Patrick Adler,Dave,Patrick Hernandez,J Guidoni,Marie Myriam,Patrick Sébastien,Michel Legrand,Nana Mouskouri,Didier Marouani and Space ,Sylvie Vartan , Manau , Vivien Savage, Iwan B etc................He worked :For TV and Film with various well-knowm conductors such as : Jean Claudric , Jean- Claude Petit, Gérard Daguerre,Jacques Loussier and many more.
