About Me

Photography.....one of my many passions. I currently shoot 35 and 120 mm film, I don't do the Digital thing. Why? Well because Photography is an art...it's about choosing the proper exposure, lighting for certain moods and setting an emotion. The whole process of developing is a special moment, feeling the film, giving it birth...that is photography to me. I shoot the world as I see it, in all it's reality. Digital to me is point and shoot. Sure you can have an eye for composition..but you can go to school for that, it came naturally to me. I've been looking through a lens since I was about 5 years of age, messing with my mothers cameras and making my own lenses with my hands and pretending to take pictures. Composition isn't the only thing Photography is about. Digital has it's pro's too....i.e. quick, easy, room for error, and time saved without the whole developing process. I still feel that anyone who calls them self a true photographer should own a few film cameras and have had dealt with the world of film at some point.I shoot landscapes, nature, obscure subjects, experimental ideas, glamour, my dog and his age progression, sports, deserts and open areas with lots of perspective and shadows. I photograph people doing their daily activities, social events and anything that I feel is impactful to the eye.Currently investing my time and money into enlargements of my work along with custom frames. Currently in the process of gathering all my work and enlarging/framing my top choices for a retrospective show of my work from the last decade. Looking towards having the show sometime next spring 08' I'll keep you all in the loop.
