IN NIKO WE TRUST
IN NIKO WE TRUST
Name is Daniel . Most of you know me as Niko . 21 years old. Live in North Balwyn . Study Commerce/Law at Deakin. Old Marcellin boy. Half Italian / Half Greek . Love footy (Essendon) and Basketball. Drive a 1995 Honda Prelude. Have the best job in the world; work at the MCG and Telstra Dome as an usher and get paid a truckload to watch sports and concerts. Am also a part time bartender and sports manager in the summer.
I try and put all my energy into a couple of things. I try and study hard, but I burn the candle at both ends and go out heaps and exercise a lot. I also work pretty hard as well. Unfortunately as I try and get the best of all worlds, the thing that suffers is sleep. It’s not uncommon to find me up at 4:30am on a weeknight doing stupid things like cleaning out my wardrobe. I think I have OCD because I obsess over detail and am really anal about little things.
I love my friends and family more than anything in the world and would be nothing without them. When you can sit in a lecture on a Monday morning and still be laughing at something funny that your mate did on the Saturday night, you know you’re onto a good thing. I am pretty much floating through life and riding the rollercoaster, trying to have as much fun as I can along the way. Don’t totally know what I want to do when I “grow upâ€. Probably become a lawyer. Or work for one of the big 4 accounting firms. But last week I was at Telstra Dome and I accidentally opened a door and walked in on a meeting between Ricky Nixon and Tom Hawkins. That looked pretty cool right there. A sports agent seems to be the dream at the moment. Oh and once I saw Jessica Alba.
I love: Sports. Partying. Exercising. Summer. My happiest memories are down the beach at summer. My perfect day (which I had plenty of last summer) pretty much includes hot days at rye, half moon or portsea beach, fish and chips and coronas in the evening followed by a night at portsea pub or the conti. I also love Saturday afternoons at the G, fired up games of basketball with the rezza boys, eating Nandos chicken burgers, bbnt tacos, sushi and tim tams, chatting about life with Ardy, kickboxing (have been doing it a year and a half now), rain on the roof when I’m in bed, Mal Michael and Dustin Fletcher, monopoly, payday, finding a good fitting t-shirt, Kevin Sheedys press conferences, the smell of petrol, airports, Peter Helliar, Will Ferrell, staring at The Uplate Gameshow girls tits, g-star, morrissey and m-one-11 clothing, Sex and the City, Seinfeld, Friends, Family Guy, Entourage, the Simpsons and reading the morning paper (can’t function without it).
I hate: Cold weather, traffic, waking up early, red light cameras, whingers, liquorice, heavy metal music, law nerds who make me feel like I’m not doing enough work, spiders, dust, coaches who flood the backline, Keppler Bradley, Rod Butterss, my computer freezing, people who touch my stuff without asking, nobody making decisions on where to go out, sandy or dirty clothes, Fifi Box, Oliver off the OC, Big Brother, fuckhead taxi drivers, uni exams and people who screw up my group assignments. Also let me give you a little tip. DO NOT FILL OUT THAT 50 QUESTIONS BULLSHIT. NOBODY GIVES A CRAP IF YOU ATE SUSHI IN THE LAST WEEK OR WENT TO THE MALL! That would be much appreciated. and death to anybody that says “thanks for the addâ€.

Interesting crap about Me:
- I have been kicked out of the Sistine Chapel in Rome by security guards.
- I have slapped the real Rubin “the Hurricane†Carter on the ass.
- I have lived in Saudi Arabia for 2 years.
- I was standing on the ground about 10 metres away from Kevin Sheedy when he had his ceremony for coaching & playing the most games in history (got my mug on TV).
- I was invited to the state tryouts for basketball in 2003.
- I swam almost 1km in crocodile infested waters in Darwin (and lived to tell the story).
- I can’t fall asleep without checking the cupboard and under the bed to see if someone is hiding in there. I started doing it when I was 6 and I do it to this very day.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.."

Happy Memories
2002. Riding down the Italian coast. Motorcycle. Aviator lens. Looking out into the ocean. Playing the tune of Bonnie and Clyde (Jay Z & Beyonce).
2005. My backyard. Smoking cigars. The heroic Darebin Giants celebrate after disposing of the hapless Broadmeadows. All that Fartlek training was validated.
2004. Schoolies. Surfers. First night. That first dip in the water. Water was about 22 degrees. 10 of the boys enjoying the surf. A whole week of boozing ahead.
SUMMADAYZE & FUTURE MUSIC 2007. Some of the best hours of my life. Enough fucken said.
PHOTO OF THE MONTH
This photo was provided to us by one of the many avid followers of Photo of the Month and one of our favourites, Sanchia Peterson. (She happens to feature in the photo, she's the young negroid one with the sizeable bosom, although you can't really tell in that photo). Anyway what stood out to us was the young chap who decided to grasp his 15 minutes of glory and jump in for a cameo moment. And might we say, isn't he looking a picture of good health? Long, flowing disco locks, some sweet threads and oversized lollypop. I think we found his pupils somewhere up near metropol by nights end. Much respect to the unknown trailblazer.
FUCK YOU PAPIIIIII
