About Me
I was born Ethel Mae Potter in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At an early age I became interested in the performing arts. I danced, sang and played piano while in school.
Shortly after I graduated from high school I met an older man named Fred Mertz; we soon got married and toured the country with our vaudeville act. After vaudeville died out we decided to start over and move to New York City. We bought an apartment building on East 68th Street in Manhattan, becoming the landlords.
Fred is now a penny-pinching old goat! He never gives me any money.
Fortunately, I have a lot of fun hanging out with my best friend, Lucy Ricardo.
Lucy's married to a very nice guy named Ricky, who is an orchestra leader and singer at the Tropicana nightclub. I should also mention that Lucy and Ricky live in our building.
We have a lot of crazy adventures together!
