Misty eyes you have shed one too many tears.You see a promise is meant to be broken.Bonds with words die lonesome deathsstifled in pools of their own integrity.Yet we gladly portray them as truthallowing deep penetrationstriking the amygdala.We are blind...we welcome them in.And on that warm daythe sun draws us from our shacklesin the dungeons we have laid dormant.Shock strikes twelve.Pupils constict allowing an amazement of colors.Finally we taste pure air..breathe deep.Our hearts dance on the playgrounds of curiosityfree in the arms of the sun. I wish I was naÃ¯ve again. Trusting like that innocent child. I wish I was naÃ¯ve again, Fore I wish not to wager in a war whose battles are fought with simple words and swords. Only then would we be free again to a promise of a new Day...a new Tomorrow.
