Have you ever broken a Puerto Rican man's arm for sweat pants money???

About Me

I'm not sure that I believe in luck, but I do believe in good fortune and I know that I am a very fortunate girl. I have everything I need in life and much, much more. I was born and raised in Northern California, but have somehow managed to make my way east to Texas with my fiance' Josh. I have many aspirations and I'm working hard to meet all of them. I feel like I finally have direction and know EXACTLY what I want out of life (and from myself). I have a great family, job, soon to be HUSBAND, and friends! What more could one ask for?
My motto in life: "Strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the standpoint of daily life however, there is one thing we do know: that man is here for the sake of other men-above all for those whose smile and well-being our own happiness depends, and also for the countless unknown souls with whose fate we are connected by a bond of sympathy."-Albert Einstein

My Interests

If I'm outside, I'm happy. Snowboarding is my favorite activity by far. Anything that requires a tent and sleeping bag so backpacking, hiking, camping, "roughing it". Swimming, running, and dancing is a must! This may sound cliche' but being a good person with morals and compassion is something I take VERY seriously. I pride myself on being friendly and non-judgemental; however, I won't be pushed around. My parents have always told me that I'm full of piss and vinegar, so I try to make them proud :-)

I'd like to meet:

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert do a great job of making ignorant people look as dumb as they really are and thats my favorite thing in the world! There are a lot of people I would like to meet not because I like them, but because I just want to get close enough to bitch smack their bigot faces. They would include Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly and Ann "the man" Coulter. And last, but certainly not least, Ryan Reynolds because...well, I don't need to elaborate on that one ;-)

Music:

I love it all...with the exception of country. Gag me, please.

Movies:

Donnie Darko, Lord of War, Run Ronnie Run, Fight Club, Madagascar, Capote, Anchorman!!! Scarface, 40 year old Virgin, Crash, Lord of the Rings, The Last Unicorn (childhood fav), Wedding Crashers, Office Space, and my all time favorite Big Fish.

Television:

'Family Guy' and 'South Park' are HYSTERICAL! Lately, I've been watching anything with political coverage. 'The Daily Show', and 'Colbert Report' are awesome of course, and my new fav is 'The Office'.

Books:

'Like Water for Chocolate' is my favorite (I've probably read it 10 times)'Life of Pi' and 'The Da Vinci Code' I couldnt put down for a second. So good! 'The Audacity of Hope','The God Delusion','Way of the Peaceful Warrior', 'America: A Citizens Guide to Democracy Inaction' by Jon Stewart is pretty damn funny. 'Memoirs of a Geisha, 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn', 'He's Just Not That Into You'(highly recommended), hmmmmm, that's all I can think of at the moment, but there are tons more.

Heroes:

My Mimi and Papa, my brother Jay who is an L.V.N. in U.S. Army and my fiance' who is a veteran of the Iraq war. As much as I disapprove of this fucked up war, I will always support the troops. They're the real heroes!

My brother...

I am so proud of my little bro Jay. He's just enlisted in the Army! For those of you who know him, wish him all the luck in the world. He'll be leaving the 14th of November for boot camp in South Caro...
