About Me
Phebe Edwards of North London, England, has been known to continuously wow the ears of her wide ranged listeners and supporters, with her gospel trained, strong soprano vocals.
Phebe has been singing and writing songs from an early age and is a classically trained pianist, playing since the age of 5.
Using her skills to enrich her ear for music and vocal ability she soon veered to wanting to do more of that which fulfilled her passion; and ask anyone what she loves to do the most is sing!
Her father Reverend R.L. Edwards' gospel music influence has had an impact on Phebes talent, and having been brought up in the church, he instilled in her the importance of singing with elucidation, soul and essence.
Phebes musical taste grew, and she soon developed a love for other genres including, pop, rock, soul, jazz, funk and most recently house music.
In 2002 Phebe became the winner of the youth competition for the borough of Haringeys Peace Alliance and now, 22 years old, she has sang backing vocals, and has done both television and Studio work for the likes of:
Lemar, Rod Steward, Westlife, Noel Robinson, Mica Paris, Nu4rm, Hot House flowers, Terri Walker, Wayne Malcome, Ronan Keating, ITV, TRL, BBC, Disney special, TOTP, Greenwich Theatre, and she continues to sing for and with groups across the UK.
Phebe has sung at venues such as the Royal Albert hall and taken part in musical theatre productions such as Cry Of Innocence at the Greenwich Theatre.
Having worked in various solo projects, Phebe had received offers from labels such as SONY/BMG and EMI, but due to timing and experience, she felt the need to widen her knowledge of the music industry first.
Currently Phebe continues to work on her own material, and is working behind scenes, helping to organise gospel music events and venues in addition to working towards widening her industry knowledge.
