I f you've ever believed in the human experience, if you've ever had a passion, if you've known of someone who needed a voice at any particular time, or if you've just known the tingles on the back of your neck when a brutal story of life’s knocks turns out with a happy ending, then Giving TV is your cup of tea
November 12 th marks the official date we begin rolling out GIVING TV to the public. Read about our mission. The magic of this moment in history is that today you can get involved changing the world right from your desktop. We have networks that are 24/7 dedicated to sports, to Hollywood, even to weather. WHAT WE SEEK is to be THE SOURCE for news and entertainment centered in the world of philanthropy and giving.
Last year there was over $100 million dollars spent on advertising for the winter Olympics. What if there was a network - for example - that dedicated 10-12% of those proceeds to dying ‘would-be’ athletes in Africa or Asia?
There were hundreds of hours dedicated to televising the Little League World Series and we say hurray; that’s important programming. But isn’t it JUST as important to dedicate more than a couple 60 second spots at the tail end of a news broadcast to recognize the Special Olympics? Their sweat is every bit as emotional and passionate as the seasoned athletes.
Cause marketing, especially with the Baby Boomer generation, is becoming the third largest segment of interest amongst Americans over the age of 18. Ironically, those under the age of 18 listed charity as the second most important non-family hours they wanted to add to their life. That, in our view, is progress.
If there can be one central network were people can go for the weather, don’t we deserve JUST ONE that offers everything about charity, global efforts and random acts of kindness? The experts lamented you could NEVER make a 24 hour music video network succeed. Wonder what they said about a 24 hour sports network?
