About Me

A project inspired by vintage keyboards, dicey beats, and bass lines that groove. Dish Dive is the work of native Portlander Andy Love and his host of both analog and digital slaves. It started years ago under the premise of Love Lounge who's collaborated with the likes of Toast, Kung Pao, Brutus Smash, and Portland's own Summer Ono. Dish Dive is currently focused on developing loungy and potentially dancy sounds for lovers of mediocre grooves and stiff drinks. "It’s not ground breaking but it’s fun. Most of all the work is pretty undeveloped and raw... kind of sloppy and dirty. I'm just exploring ideas and having fun. I’m not really trying to finish anything. It's more of a sketch pad to help me develop my playing and understanding of music. I’m mostly justy a bass player, a hobbiest at best, who has an undeniable love of vintage keyboard sounds. I dream about them. They're pure joy. Right now we're just rehearsing and trying to find good sounds. It would be amazing if someday we made it to a smoky lounge near you.” A Love.On A Roll
