About Me

Who, me? Oh, okay. Well, I'm Mel. I'm a marching band freak and a nerd in general. I'm 25 and I'm a very angry person in general who has become quite disillusioned with life. I absolutely hate my country, it's leaders, and most of the people in it. Had I the funds, I would defect to somewhere . . . anywhere but here. I'm tired of being screwed over by people who think they are better than I simply because they have more money than I do. I'm sick of people with six figure salaries who cannot read, spell, or properly speak the English language. One day I received a memo at work in our morning paperwork that said, "If any of this is you assistance, I need to know." This came from an executive level secretary. Translated into proper English: "If any of THESE are YOUR ASSISTANTS, I need to know." Why/how does this person have a job that pays so well? Another word that seems to baffle the six figure employment force is actually the name of a cheese that is popular in bagels. Asiago. Go ahead, say it. Asiago. Did you say "Ah-sah-gee-oh"? If so, you are one of the six figure a year morons that can't read. A-S-I-A-G-O. It is pronounced "Ah-see-ah-go". Did they not teach you private/prep school spoiled kids to sound out words? But alas, I will digress.

My Interests

Currently, I live to game. Wii, NES, N64, Game Cube, PSOne, Dreamcast, PS2, XBox, XBox360, DS, PSP, GBA, PC . . . I love games! RPG's, racing games, FPS's, stealth, 3rdPS's, I'll play just about anything. I love horses and riding and spent 15 years riding event and dressage horses and would still be doing that, but my mommy and daddy aren't Republicans so we wern't rich enough to maintain my chosen profession, as it is quite an expensive "hobby".

I'd like to meet:

Wentworth Miller. Simply put, the man is an Adonis.Marshall Mathers (Eminem), because he is the only "rapper" out there that actually knows how to write music, or what music even is. I don't know what kind of car he drives, what kind of clothes or shoes he wears, what kind of "product" he's "rocked", how many times he's been shot or how many "niggas" he's "capped", or how many "ho's" he's "banged".Morgan Freeman, not only because he is an incredibly intelligent person and a wonderful actor, but because he said it best, "I don't want to be thought of as a black actor. I'm just an actor."Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) because the man does things with a flute that are not of this world and his music is incredible.Bela Fleck and the Flecktones because how anyone can write music in "almost twelve" is beyond me. Matt Simpson ; new addition to the friend list, a foxhunter (so much fun!!!), and a great blogger. We need more people (especially in so-called "stuffy" horse sports like foxhunting) like him in the world. He reminds me of my dad if my dad was a foxhunter.Marc Broussard . This guy can sing like you would not believe. No seriously. Look at this guy's pictures, then listen to the song, "Home" and tell me that voice comes from that dude. He's incredible, period. And this guy: Rep.Tim Ryan

You Are 40% Weird
Normal enough to know that you're weird...
But too damn weird to do anything about it! How Weird Are You?Why I Kill What Type of Killer Are You? [cool pictures]
You kill for revenge.
That is because you have lost something or someone you held very dear. Now you can't seem to get over the loss that marked your soul, and the only solution is to go after the one person who brought all this pain to you. Chances are you are angry inside and you bottle everything up and don't talk to anyone about it. People may want to help, but you think that they can never understand your pain and only get frustrated because of this. But it is important to see all that you have left and be thankful of that even if you have lost something great. It may not be true that Times heals all wounds, but with time and talking about your feelings, maybe the hurt will ease.

My Inner Power is (as if you didn’t know already . . . ) What's your inner power? (Girls only sorry. Beautiful anime pictures, lengthy results)
Uniqueness- Your inner power is Uniqueness! You are very different from everyone around you, and you like it that way. In fact, youd be furious if you were anything else. To the world outside you are a buoyant, fun loving person, and are probably pretty popular. Yet deep down you feel the urge to be accepted as who you are, and desperately want someone who is truly there for you. You are very indecisive and change your mind regularly over just about anything. Youre very opinionated, and bulldoze over anyone who doesnt share your views. At times you can be very depressed, though few people realise it with your animated personality. You are great fun to be around, and enjoy shocking people with your out there views and beliefs. At times however, your urge to be different can work against you, as people dont often enjoy their ideas of right and wrong having any shades of grey. But dont let them get to you; youre an awesome person who many love. You have no doubt heaps of friends, but dont always have that close friend/s that you want and need. You strive to be accepted for who you are, and are protective and loyal to those who earn your trust. Although at times you think there may be no one there, look around. There is someone in the shadows who desperately wants to be your friend, who maybe you just havent noticed. Dont let anyone get you down, youre the one who gives this boring world excitement and culture. Keep it up! Boy/Girl who will sweep you off your feet: Someone different and independent. Someone who isnt your typical male/female, who can accept that not everything has to be black and white, and yes, there are many, many shades of grey. Your stone/jewel: Amethyst Your power: Difference/Change. This is the ability to make a difference in the world, to create new ideas and opinions, and to open up the minds of others to show that there is more than one shade of grey. Your element: Electricity/Lightening A quote that applies to you: "Id much rather to be hated for who I am than loved for who Im not."

Music:

I'm a musician and love all music. I credit Dr. Jon at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville for showing me that even music that I simply can't stand has something likable. Except for new rap music. That's not music. It's some guy (or group of guys) talking about f*cking b*tches or having some girl shake her titties and @ss in their face to a beat that was manufactured from one or more songs. New music is so unlikable to me because now it's all about making money instead of making music.

Movies:

I work at a movie theater. I will give any movie a chance that is actually an original thought. Most movies now are remakes of old ones, or Americanized versions of Japanese animes. I'm sick of the "trilogy fever" that seems to be sweeping Hollywood thanks to "The Lord of the Rings". I mean come one, "The Santa Clause, the greatest Christmas trilogy of all time"? "Saw" needed two sequels? And I've heard they're making a fourth?!?!?

Television:

My televisions are used for gaming. The only shows on television that I watch are "Prison Break" at 20:00 on Fox Mondays and then I follow that with "Heroes" at 21:00 on ABC. If I'm not too into my game, I watch the Sunday 20:00 Fox lineup of The Simpsons, American Dad, Family Guy and The War at Home.

Books:

Terry Goodkind's "The Sword of Truth" series. Yes they are very long books. There are nine so far all at or over 1,000 pages long. Everyone should read them or at least check out his website and familliarize themselves with the "Wizard's Rules". Consider them commandments to live by. I love reading, mostly fantasy or sci-fi, but I've been known to pick up a Evanovich every once in a while.

Heroes:

My father. He's a real genius who has done and sacrificed more for me than he will ever know. He impacts everyone he meets with his charm, wit, personality and genius. He can explain Hawking's theories to the "layest" of the layman, yet he can also grab a beer and scream at the ref's bad calls during the Cowboys game. He looks just like Johnny Depp in "Pirates" and would definately ask, "Why's the rum gone?" My other hero is my German/Chemistry teacher Mr. David Youngblood from Greer High. He's the most infamous, most hated teacher at that school, but I loved him. He has a passion for the subjects he teaches and knows everything about them, teaching not from a textbook, but from experience. He's an honors teacher who expects honors work from his honors students, and refuses to bend to the spoiled little rich kids' soccer moms who come to complain that Little Johnny just can't have a B to mar his report card. He truly believes in earning a grade and is fair and unbiased.
