I spend most of my time working, going to the gym, spending time w/ friends, and volunteering at a no-kill animal shelter. I just starting mountain biking, and I have the bruises and scabs to prove it! I go hiking once in a long time and in the winter, I do a lot of skiing. http://www.pawsct.org We could always use a lot of more volunteers! I also do a lot of traveling -- I just came back from Scandinavia. I usually go to Europe once a year, but next time maybe Tahiti.
Old friends, new friends. And Ben Franklin - inventor, scientist, writer, and a pimp w/ the ladies even in his 70's. What a role model... ..>.. ..>.. ..>
Mostly metal, like Rammstein, Static X, System of a Down, Soil, and Type O Negative. But I also like a little punk (My Chemical Romance, Bad Religion), techno (anybody else heard of Hi-Fi), and classical (Dvorak).
The vast majority of movies that come out these days suck major ass. A few exceptions are The Village and Troy. My favorite is Animal House, of course, and other faves are Office Space, Braveheart, and Shawshank Redemption. I just saw Saw the other night. It's the scariest movie ever, a definate must see.
God Bless the Daily Show. Amen.
I just finished two - "The Climb," which is about an expedition's attempt to climb Everest, and "Welcome to Hell," where a man tells how he was wrongfully put in prison for murder in Bankok and his survival there. America - The Book (by the guys at the Daily Show) is alright. I was expecting a bit more in it. Alive is great - it tells the true story of how a group of rugby players survived in the middle of the Andes after a plane crash for several weeks. Holy crap, if you ever think your life sucks, just read this book and you'll realize how worse it could be. John Krakauer is great (Into the Wild, Under a Banner of Heaven). Right now I'm reading "Eiger Dreams" by him. It's a collection of articles he wrote about mountain climbing. Blow by Bruce Porter is very inspirational (it's about how a guy imported millions of dollars of drugs across the boarder).
