Two accomplishments I've achieved in my life that I'm proud of and actually followed through with (shocking): I got certified for scuba diving and I got my Uncle (when I was in High School in the 80's) and Husband (when we dated in the late 80's) to quit smoking. I love the outdoors: canoeing, biking, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, wildlife watching, sightseeing, sunsets, waterfalls, walks on the beach and nature trail walks. I like watching NHL (go Redwings), NFL (go Lions)and college football (go U OF M), NBA (go Pistons) and baseball (go Tigers). I enjoy playing on the computer, watching tv, renting and going to see movies, doing crossword puzzles, entering the lottery (only when it's a huge amount) and entering sweepstakes. I fool myself into thinking that I'm actually going to win a trip, a car or money. Yeah right, maybe if I keep telling myself that, it will happen?! I consider myself to be a "FORD" girl overall, but there are two exceptions: the Hummer H2, (yellow and black) and the Mini Cooper (either red or blue with white racing stripes down the center like in "The Italian Job"). My husband is currently restoring a 1927 Model T to it's original glory. I have a picture of it in the "My Pic" area. His favorite car is the Lamborghini. I enjoy going to auto shows and car cruises, especially the Fort St. cruise and the Woodward Ave. dream cruise. My dream vacation is to go to Maui, Hawaii. I want to go really, really, really badly!!!! If I could afford it, I'd love to live and/or retire there. Growing up I loved being the only child. I enjoyed getting all the attention from everyone. Now that I'm older I wish I had a brother or sister to share things with. Being the only child gets lonely, especially when your friends are off doing their own thing. I'm glad I don't have any children. I highly doubt I will have any at this point in my life, thank God. I see how other people's children act. It's instant birth control. Besides, I'm too set in my ways and I like being able to pick up and go on a whims notice. I prefer to go out to eat because I DON'T cook at all. I love dogs, I grew up with them. Freckles (named after the Disney "101 Dalamatians" - cartoon version), my beloved 12 yr old dalmatian, passed away on September 7, 2006. We had him cremated and I have him on a shelf, in a tin with paw prints on it, with a couple pictures and his collar. Sort of my little tribute/shrine to him. He will be sorely missed, he was my pal, my buddy and a great dog. About 3 weeks ago, my husband took me to look at Siberian Husky puppies, we came home with one. I named him Diesel after the Disney "Snow Dog" movie. My favorite male actor is Johnny Depp. OH MY GOD, he's a HOTTIE, hello!! I would absolutely love to meet him sometime. I have the majority of his movies and I've followed his career ever since he had a role in "A Nightmare On Elm Street". For my birthday a few years ago, my friends at work bought me a "Captain Jack Sparrow" pillowcase. I get to sleep with Johnny every night. YEAH, LUCKY ME!! My husband just rolls his eyes. Other HOTTIE male actors I'd love to meet are: Jason Statham, Hayden Christiansen and Orlando Bloom. I'm totally obsessed right now with "Johnny Depp and Pirates". My favorite movie of all time is: Star Wars. I love sci fi movies and just about anything that has to do with space or alien type movies. My favorite decade was the 1970's. I love the 70's. They were the best years of my life and I wish I could go back! I love to watch "That 70's Show", it brings back alot of great memories.***WARNING***: I'm a very opinionated person, you may not like what you read. To me: soccer, curling, polo, golf, ribbon twirling and tennis are the most boring sports ever invented. They need to have more sports like the X-treme ones, those are cool and alot more interesting. I hate having to do chores. If I could afford it, I'd hire someone to do them for me. I'll admit it, I'm lazy to a certain point, I mean I'll do them, but I complain about it every second. I don't like foreign vehicles, the exception being the Mini Cooper. Everyone should buy U.S.A. made products (not just cars either) and keep our country employed instead of selling out to other countries. I totally and 100% believe in the death penalty. That's why I love Texas. I feel all of our 50 States should have the death penalty. Someone needs to go to every "Death Row" in the country and start getting rid of them. I'm sick and tired of paying for criminals on death row to live. It's pure bull. I want to know why they call it "Death Row"? These criminals hardly ever get put to death anymore because of all the do-gooders. I'm disgusted at the fact that they get more privledges and benefits than victims do or anyone else for that matter. What ever happened to the olden days, where if you committed a crime you paid for it? It's ridiculous. I think that's why there's so much crime now. These people for whatever reason, want their 15 minutes of fame, their copy cat crimes or their poor and feel they'll have a better life in jail because they'll get a bed, shelter, medical exams, education, tv privledges and weight training. I can't stand it when illegals get everything handed to them on a silver platter and American born citizens apply for the same things and get denied. It's a bunch of crap!! Because we're born in the U.S., we get penalized for it. Then illegals have the nerve to complain about this, that and the other thing. If they don't like it, then get the heck out of our country and go back to your own where you belong!! Someone needs to shake up our government. Get rid of most of those idiots in Washington. I'd like to see more honesty in our Senate and Congress. Yeah, right, that'll be the day. Our country has gone to pot. I'm highly disappointed in our system. Ok, I can understand feeling bad for others in the world if there's a natural disaster or the unfortunate circumstances due to war and starvation. But, what I can't understand is when the government feels it's necessary to give other countries tons of money to help them and yet people in our own back yard are dealing with the same problems and are in dire need of help. I can't stand people that drive slow, drive like it's Sunday and drive slow in the fast lane, MOVE IT and get the heck outta my way, I'm coming through!! Yes, I'm a lead foot, I'll admit it. I should have been a race car driver. I'd like to visit Jerusalem someday and walk where Jesus supposedly walked over 2000 years ago, but it's way too dangerous. It's not an option at this point. I never understood Sushi, I'm sorry, but I like my fish cooked, thank you very much. The same goes for Caviar, ugh, ick, puke. Escargot, Oysters and Clams - gimme a break. If I wanted slime, I'd order slime. I can't stand smoke (it stinks). I'm allergic to it and it burns my eyes; plus it's bad for your health and second hand smoke is the leading cause of deaths in non smoking people. I'm very glad they made laws to ban smoking, in restaurants, in my local area where I live. If I wanted to breath that crap, I'd light up myself. I personally enjoy clean, fresh air, thank you very much!! The worst time in my life was the 1990's, except for my wedding. I was very glad to be out of that decade. I hated it! To this day, I'm still happily married. It will be 17 years for us in April. I was diagnosed with a rare disease called RSDS. Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome. Paula Abdul has this disease. I've had mine going on 3 years. It makes life more difficult and challenging because what used to be simple, is now hard. To learn more about it go to: www.rsdhope.org or www. rsds.org
