About Me

Hello there!
I'm still coming to terms with being 35 now, I'm not allowed to be young and silly anymore, I'm supposed to be old enough to know better!! HAH!
Joshua rocks! He's my 14 year old son, and he opened my eyes to the World on the day he was born. He's a musician, an artist and a movie producer and he will always do whatever he wants in life.
Molly is my Angel Baby. A 9 year old Princess in waiting. She is the daughter i always wanted and i am so blessed to have her in my life.
I am a Leo (hear me roar) and very proud of it. I love cats, i have lots. They are all my family too.

I live in Thuringowa, near Townsville in Tropical North Queensland.
After moving here from Sydney 11 years ago i thought i'd struggle with life out of the fast lane, but i love it. Its sunny and bright everyday and there's no such thing as traffic jams.
I quit my career as an accountant after 12 long tedious years and now i run my own businesses and enjoy the freedom and challenges that brings. Every day is new and exciting.
I believe in peace, harmony and happiness and that kharma will take care of the rest. There is already to much angst and anger in the World today, i don't want to add to it.
I believe that if we all take the time out to be nice to each other, we can all get on with just living.
I live by 4 simple rules in life
don't steal
don't be greedy
be respectful
be happy
Try it - its that easy!!
I love life, i love living life to the full. I squeeze every second out of every minute of every day.
Life is adventure just waiting to happen, we have to go out and grab it with both hands.
If you want to help change the World into a Happy Place, then by all means jump on board with me!

You scored as II - The High Priestess. The High Priestess is a card of intuition, instinct and hidden knowledge. She knows all your secrets, you can hide nothing from her. Yet you will never know the secrets she herself protects. If well aspected in a Tarot spread, this card can indicate the use of intuition to solve problems; trust to your instincts. If badly aspected, it can mean suppression and ignoring of such instincts - following your head at the expense of your heart.

My Interests

Reading, learning, growing and discovering.

I love to travel and meet new people and explore new places.

My favourite thing to do is to sneak off to our beach house and spend time with the kids.

A Technology Free zone with no TV, telephones or clocks its a beautiful escape away from the World, with only the beach and the wide blue yonder as far as the eyes can see and a million stars overhead when the sun goes down.

LOVE IT!

I'd like to meet:

EVERYBODY! We are all special and unique in our own different way and thats what makes us all so interesting. We, all of us, have our own story to tell. I'd love to hear yours.

Music:

Calm, funky, soulful and inspiring.

Music to me is more about a mood but there are some definate faves who get loads of air time in my World.

I don't do radio of any kind too random and contrived for my liking. I prefer to know i like what i hear and its message is clear.

Bob Marley - where the search for happiness began. May he rest in peace and his words and music live on always.

Michael Franti - musical genius, music was empty before i discovered Franti. Get switched on to him now - you won't regret it.

Xavier Rudd - gifted musician and talented peot, Xavier has a sound of all his own that is earthy and real and i try and convert everyone i meet to his sounds. Best of all, he's even Australian.

John Butler Trio - he just gets better every year, listen to his latest offering Grand National if you haven't already. Its a MUST!

Ben Harper - the Master of all.

Bernard Fanning - may he rejoin Powderfinger and let them harness all of their energy for good.

Corinne Bailey Rae - , Groove Sister, she has the smoothest voice, perfect for any lazy Sunday afternoon.

Jack Johnson, Donovan Frankenreiter, The Waifs, Missy Higgins, Macy Gray, Eels, The Dixie Chicks,Kasey Chambers and Ben Lee are all other favourites of mine.

For some great new sounds, check out "Bag of Toys" here in my Friends at My Space.

Or for an Australian flavour, take a look at "Three Quarters Hazel" and "Chris Byrne". Love their work!

If you've ever wondered what Janis Joplin would have sounded like happy - check out new friends Naomi & The Courteous Rudeboys - their sound is fantastic! Chilled to the max...

More cool stuff at YourCoolProfile.com! Anyone who is any kind of "Idol" definately isn't one of mine and you won't find any Britney in the collection either.

Movies:

I don't get to see movies very often, fiction is just not my thing, but thanks to the kids i get to see every Pixar offering that comes out, which are always good for a laugh.

"Shaka Zula" first opened my eyes to Africa.
"Gandhi" first opened my eyes to humanity.

Television:

Again TV is not really my thing, but i must admit the Glass House and Chasers War on Everything were compulsory viewing.
Unfrtunately Glass House won't be in my living room for 2007 - shame on you ABC!Thank God for Spicks and Specks.
I love Thank God You're Here, Working Dog Productions are brilliant, i watched The Panel religiously.

I also like getting into an SBS doco - there's a surprising amount on, thanx to our very unstable current World Status.

Books:

Not a fan of fiction here either, would rather read about someone real and hear their story.

I love the MILK books of photographs where each one tells a thousand stories. Classic.

I like to keep a lot of positive, inspiring books about, to pick up and flick through from time to time, but as for reading - time just doesn't seem to permit much these days.

I have also been browsing though some books i bought from the US on Adoption.

I am an adoptee with a lifetime of questions and now it seems like I want answers. Joe Soll is a remarkable, gifted man (also adopted) who help set me on the right path.

Heroes:

Gandhi, Dalai Llama, Bob Geldof, Bono and anyone who is selfless enough to have compassion for the emotional wellbeing and needs of all others inhabiting this beautiful Planet of ours, Earth.
Anyone who helps anyone is a hero of mine. (sorry John Howard, thats you out)
Mother Nature - she rules all!!! For she is The Creator of all things of natural beauty that we see across this great Planet. Respect to her, we should always show, as it is she is who will determine our fate and guide us through any storm.
Finally, the Aboriginal Community of Palm Island deserve Kudos for exisiting for as long as they have and not dying out as the Qld Government had hoped.
Palm Island is an Aboriginal Community located off the coast of Townsville and is a national disgrace to Australia.
Out of sight, out of mind, the government created this isloated island community for its own merits and now doesn't know exactly what to do with it.
Don't judge the people until you know ALL the facts. If you want to know more, google, otherwise ask me, i'll tell you what i know.
