Daughter to a wonderfull Irish father and Brazilian mother, sister to one brother (forever my baby) and two sisters, aunt to the cutest nephew ever and now also to the newborn baby Julia (who I'm yet to meet), I consider myself blessed to have such family - the most incredible and enlightened I could have ever wished for - incomparable in all senses. I was raised in Brazil in an enviroment of love and freedom, educated in such way to always keep an open mind to all possibilities and oportunities, but following guidelines of respect and honesty. I was always guided, never forbidden, experiencing the consequences of my own good and bad decisions, but always having my family to help lift me up when needed.

Arts have been one of my passions since a kid. Love painting (it's hard to get inspiration nowadays, but once I get it going, it feels like I never want to stop. Studied Architecture for two years then decided to have a go on Advertising, in which I graduated in 2005. My next goal is to take a Masters degree in Graphic Design.

I've been all over Europe and lived for one year in Ireland, then England, then Holland, then in the US and now I have friends all over. Though I long to be close to my family and friends, it feels like I'm yet to find 'my place' in the world... maybe because I've always felt this huge urge to learn more and more about other cultures and experience them.

Though from a Catholic family, I consider myself to be a spiritualist. I believe we come to this world (or maybe even others) several times until we reach spiritual perfection and that this can only happen when we know ourselves entirely and in all aspects. I believe in Christ, Buddah, Mohammed and all spiritual masters. They were all certainly sent here to spread a message of love and upright values - the question is in what they were well understood and not. Even great men act as human filters to these messages and one needs to be very wise to know to how to distinguish what to take in. The bottom line is: all gods are one God, no matter what name He is given, and the source of all good things is, above all, love.

OPEN YOUR MIND and DREAM...and you might realize there's a lot more to be seen and unveiled than you had ever thought possible!!

Life is an on going school and nothing happens without a reason. Every single person that passes through our lives leaves a little bit of them with us and takes a little bit of us with them. We try to learn from our mistakes, progress with our good actions, miss so many good memories left in the past and dream about a peaceful and happy future, but most importantly, is what we do with our present that counts. So smile and cherish this moment, the nature and the people around you, for, in a blink of a second, they might not be so close to you as they are now.

Absolutely fascinated by Ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Celtic history. I could spend a lifetime reading or studying anything related.
Neither been to Greece nor Egypt, but will definitely go in the near future.
I was totally blown out when in Rome. It's beauty and greatness is like no other city I've ever been to. Made my poor dad drive all over rainy England and Ireland a few years ago (and still do, I must say!) after signs of the Celtic culture and the more I saw, the more I identified myself with it. Absolutely charming!!!

MA'AT

Patron of: truth, law and universal order.
Maat was the personification of the fundamental order of the universe, without which all of creation would perish. Her name, literally, meant 'truth' in Egyptian. She was truth, order, balance and justice personified. She was harmony, she was what was right, she was what things should be. It was thought that if Ma'at didn't exist, the universe would become chaos, once again! The primary duty of the pharaoh was to uphold this order by maintaining the law and administering justice. To reflect this, many pharaohs took the title "Beloved of Maat," emphasizing their focus on justice and truth.
Because of Ma'at, the Egyptians knew that the universe, that everything in the universe, worked on a pattern, just as, later on, the Greeks called the underlying order of the universe logos (meaning, order, pattern).

"In the beginning was the logos*, and the logos* was with God and the logos* was God." - John 1:1
* Logos was the 'Word', another name for Jesus.

At any event in which something would be judged, Maat was said to be present, and her name would be invoked so that the judge involved would rule correctly and impartially. In the underworld, the heart of the deceased was weighed by Anubis against Maat's feather. If the heart was heavy with wicked deeds, it would outweigh the feather, and the soul would be fed to Ammit. But if the scales were balanced, indicating that the deceased was a just and honorable person in life, he would be welcomed by Osiris into the Blessed Land. Maat's presence in all worlds was universal, and all the gods deferred to her.
Egypt, then, was seen to be nothing without Ma'at. Ma'at did not exist until Ra rose from the waters of Nun (various gods and goddesses of Chaos). She was known as a Neter goddess, and as such, was described as a daughter of Ra. But without Ma'at, Egyptians believed that Nun would reclaim the universe. She was also thought to be the wife of Thoth, moon god and god of the wisdom. She was, really, the most important deity of them all.
