In 2005, Legitimate Business was nominated for the Asbury Music Award of "Best Ska Band". The band also placed 5th in the JerseyShows 200 band, 5 round Battle of the Bands.
In 2006, Legitimate Business was invited to submit the song "80 on 80" to be featured in the video game Tony Hawk's Project 8. The full soundtrack list can be found here . The game received the IGN award for Best Licensed Soundtrack on PlayStation 3 in 2006 and it can now be found in well over one million homes.
In 2007, Legitimate Business self-released their debut EP, "If You Can't Take The Heat..." After a CD release weekend of headlining shows, featuring Rick Johnson (Mustard Plug), the CD was officially released on June 26th, 2007. The band then followed up with a 15 day, 3000 mile tour in support of the new CD.
The band is currently writing their new full length album and plans to follow it up by touring again in Summer 2008.
