It is STILL snowing here....

About Me

I was born and raised in Dayton, OH. I moved to Michigan the summer before my Freshman year of high school (I would have gone to Stebbins High School). Though I have been here in Wolverine country for nearly 21 years, I will forever remain a True Buckeye at heart! Scarlet and Grey all the way! Go Bucks!I was in college for about 8 and a half years, first for an Associates Degree, then moving on to a Bachelors. After obtaining a Major of Communication (Broadcasting) with a double minor of Public Relations and Advertising, I decided to substitute teach while I looked for a job in the field. I also continued to work at WSAE-FM both times I was in college...for a total of 6 years there. I did get an offer in the field, but now felt torn between teaching and broadcasting. I decided to turn down a job offer from WKZO (talk radio) in Kalamazoo to obtain another major (English) and an Elementary Teaching Certification. I was in radio for a total of six years and am currently looking for a permanent position in a school district, while I continue to substitute teach. I am getting ready to enroll in classes for my Master's of Education to keep my license current. I looking into: Colorado State University Pueblo, University of St. Thomas(Minnesota), Augustana College (South Dakota), or North Dakota State University.Create or get your

(Kingdom Come, Dokken, Scorpions, Metallica, Van Halen, brief appearance by The Nuge) I also love Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, IL-over 12 stages and over 120 bands..need I say more), Friends (very important to me! Still have some from Kindergarten) As far as animals I love all of them, but I collect wolves. I also love hummingbirds.

The Crow (the soundtrack was awesome too), Rock Star, Loved all the 80-90 movies, like Pretty in Pink, St. Elmos Fire, Sixteen Candles, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Lost Boys (Jason Patric, whew!) etc. Grease, Xanadu and Somewhere in Time, were my all time favs., More current: The Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Ring series, Pirates of the Carribean movies, Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Hallmark Movies, Something's Gotta Give, Nanny McFee, In America, The Family Stone and We are Marshall were excellent...but be ready to cry (not just sniffles)...Any Denzel Washington, Johnny Depp, Matthew McConaughey, or Orlando Bloom movie rate high, not just because of the HOT factor, they are usually good :)!
