I am an old fart that loves spinning the 'WHEELS OF STEEL'.
I have been DJING for about 8 months and played 2 live gigs. One for my mates the SONIC MONKEYS, and one small performance up here at a private house party with 100+ people.
I love it it is me favorite pass time! Most of me mates try to phone me after work and cant contact me, thats because I am on the turnies cutting some tunes, and I cant hear the phone.
My equiptment is 2 x STANTON STR8-150's 1 x DENON DNX-1500 1 x KORG KAOSS PAD 1 x SONY VAIO LAPTOP and 500+ monster vinyls!! and the collection just keeps growing!
I started with TRANCE, with Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Tomcraft, etc, being big influences. But I have now really been bagging out massive HARD HOUSE tunes with the likes of CAPTIAN TIN RIB, PAUL GLASZBY, LISA LASHES, LISA PIN-UP, DJ KIM etc. As them as a massive influence.
I am now cranking out me new baby FREEFORM, man bouncy as hell 170bpm get the croud rockin'
I practice nightly for about 2 hours and I get into it regularly, and FRIGGIN LOUD!! I am now heading down the PRODUCTION path. Mixing up and mashing songs on Abelton Live, also producing interesting and fluid trance sounds. I try to regularly hook up with the guys from SONIC MONKEY and jam till the sun comes up!! It has to be seen to be believed!!
Thats about it, the rest of my life is a bit well normal and boring, apart for my BABE, she rocks and is my foundation of sanity!!
