The nonsensical ravings of a lunatic mind

About Me

Getting older by the minute and pretty ok with that (for now). Former California self-exiled to the midwest and it's not as bad as you think. I'm divorced and have full custody of my 3 kids..course they're all grown up now but hey...they'll always be Mommy's pookies (embarass you guys enough? huh??? huh???) Sometimes I really miss being home (especially during the winter and it's 9 below here). Desperately miss my best friend, Sue D. Jones, and not a day goes by that I don't think about her and wish she was here. I'm glad I've got my kids (they keep me relatively sane and are a constant source of laughter), my health and my life. If I could go back and do things differently,I wouldn't....that would make my present all boring and different and stuff. My current goal is to lure the family memebers that do like me out to the midwest and start some huge dysfunctional commune hahaha.

My Interests

Computers (doh, but I do have my certificates so I'm fully prepared to fix whatever someone breaks..then chew them out about it)....history, movies, music and bunches of other crap..like anyone here REALLY cares about interests, more like "so what are you wearing right now?"

I'd like to meet:

OH come on...now that's a list that could be really long and man..that's a little too personal to answer right now.

Music:

I'll listen to almost anything except country (old people's music if ya ask me and why do I care that she left him today or why) and rap...course you can't have crap w/o rap...and I will admit some of that hiphop stuff you kids listen to (with your 90210 and your playdough extruders) isn't really all bad. I just don't like things that promote hate, abuse of anyone that's not asking for it and the overuse of bitches and ho's

Movies:

I love movies...old..new...black & white..color...french..don't care what kind EXCEPT for slasher movies. What's the point of those? I mean anyone can be a slasher for god's sake...used to live across the street from one myself..naturally he was really quiet and looked like everyone else. So you can keep your slasher movies to yourself.

Television:

A veritable wasteland except for some things on discovery channel, everything on history channel, tcm, adult swim (ewww but hate the anime, what's with the big eyes and aliens? I mean give me a major break...vampires are really aliens? I don't think sooooo losers), national geographic channel and love the meerkats (yeah, I'm one of those dorks that wears flannel and sits around staring at animal planet, you know who you are too).

Books:

Again..too long of a list to name but I love gothic horror kinda stuff..ok...just about any kinda gothic stuff.

Heroes:

My Dad...tough man who went thru many many major battles in WW2 and many battles in his personal life (which wasn't always an easy one either) but still had time to sit on the floor and watch Peter Pan with his daughters and clap his hands when we yelled tinkerbell was gonna die. Miss you Dad

My Blog

one of the best days EVER

Wow....5/28/07 is going down as one of the best days ever.  Charles and I went to see Blue Oyster Cult (awesome band...give them a listen) at Rib America in downtown St Louis.  We met Alliso...
