About Me

Most of my recordings are on the old, common 4-track tape/cassette with some transfers to digital. Some people have asked me for a "CD," but at this time, catching me in a live "Open Mic" performance is the best option. Music will be uploaded eventually with the assistance of some of my "new, music, digital friends." Until then..... my music "Bio" includes a 2005 invitation to Princeton Cable TV, a filming by Channel 34, and "on-the-spot" invites during open mics with some very talented musicians of Northern Jersey that made me feel very pleased. Princeton Cable TV runs a show called: Cafe Improv.com and during July 2005, Princeton Cable TV, Channel 30, wrote about Gina Born: ____________________________________________________________ ____Singer-Songwriter-Jazz Guitarist----------------Gina's siblings introduced her to folk and classical music, and she has been taking her guitar to coffee houses and open stages since high school. Lately we've encountered her at "John & Peter's," and she's been a hit at the New Brunswick's "Court Tavern," among other venues. Under the expert tutelage of Steve Hayes, Gina has recently undertaken to learn jazz, which she's bringing to us in the form of "Chittlins con Carne," a piece by Kenny Burrell. You might also expect to hear "No Way Home," one of Gina's own compositions.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Primarily a solo player. Sometimes accompanied by "Zookey" and drummer, Thomas Mintz. Recording is taking longer than expected. My songwriting leans more towards pop/jazz/blues. Sounds Like: Someone once said that I have the tonal quality of Phobee Snow and another person said I sound like Bonnie Raitt.
Record Label: unsigned
Type of Label: None
