I love going to concerts, photography, art, and festivals. Cider mills, nature, exploring rivers by kayak, hiking waterfalls... snowmobiling, boating, travelling, raising my son, my dogs, dancing and LAUGHING!
Our family portrait: Aren't we awesome?
Creative people - that I can network with, brainstorm with, and those who also tend to feed off of one another's creative energy.
People looking for friends... seriously! Activity partners - someone to go kayaking with, enjoy a concert together, art festivals, even going out and having a drink or two!
People with HEART!
I seem to have a fondness for musicians...

My taste varies and is very wide.. maybe even eclectic. I am a very passionate person, and am truly moved by music. I don't hear it.. i FEEL it. Lyrics too... i love a song with lyrics that touch me. So, it's hard to peg what I really like. It's probably easier to tell you what I dont like... as in screemo, rap, opera, and twangy country. Blues seems to have hit me at a young age, so that's my roots and probably my favorite. And the rest? ... yeah, the rest is great. I appreciate talent.. and love finding new artists I was previously not aware of. Take a listen to this.. see if it gets you movin...maybe i should have grown up down south.. this is all me
.. I like movies that make me laugh!!!! I also like action, suspence and pixar movies. Please don't make me sit through gore and sick twisted stuff.

my kids... my son, in his fight and struggle with his bipolar disorder and my daughter for always being there, and having a heart bigger then the world itself
Jesus Christ for keeping me strong, and for reminding me that being a Christian is a person who takes HIS teachings into their daily life, and lives the word. When things get rough... I thank Jesus for giving me those challenges, and building my strength. The word Christian is a verb - not a noun.

Childhood Bipolar Disorder tears families apart and is very hard to diagnose. Awareness of this debilitating disorder is needed. Kids are misunderstood by their peers, their schools, and communities. The general population has no idea of the internal demons these kids face. So many of these young souls end their lives in suicide. Lives are at stake.
"Helpless Tears" is a poem I wrote, and reflects my son's struggle with his bipolar disorder and my own personal struggle to see him through.
