Marktese Ja'ta Frazier was born April 9, 1989 in Troy, Alabama, At 8lbs 15oz. At a young age marktese started dealing with disappointments in his young life with anger. His anger caused him to be labeled as a "troubled kid" in school and he was was suspended numerous times. His anger stemmed from him not understanding his Fathers' lack of of guidance and nuturing and his Mothers" need to provide for her family by leaving him with his Grandmother to get established in another state. Over the years Marktese grew angrier and angrier. Feeling as if no one understood what he was going through or that they cared. His Mother decided to moved to a place Marktese felt comfortable so, his mother, himself, and his lil' sister moved to Maine in the summer of 2003. Settling in Westbrook Marktese met Nicholas Lavigne(Nasty Nick) and Jeffrey Ramsay(Your favorite homie JR) who already had a group called "Team Nasty". As the 3rd member of this group Marktese unwrapped his "gift". Marktese knew that music was his destiny. The talented trio grew in popularity throughout the portland area. Marktese took the name Ta-Double. When the group ran across another local talent Damion Green(who later left the group to pursue his solo career as a reggae artist BIG UPS! "D") They became "The Roster". JR left to pursue his solo career. James (J-Killz) and Dekota (Phobia) Cotton were later introduced to the group. The Roster put together songs that were performed at The Cultural Exchange Center in Portland with other local talent as opening acts for The Nappy Roots. That show established the group popularity locally. Which lead to other shows, like the show they did with artists from WUTANG. With James(J-KIllz) pursuing his solo career and Dekota(phobia) shinning in college as a wrestling star down south. The group manage to get to the studio to put together a banging CD and perform at local spots. While attending college in New Hampshire, Nicholas met Quinton Joesph at a battling session on campus and was impressed by his flow, style, and skills. During a break at school Nicholas brought Quinton to Maine to meet Ta-Double. (now Alabama Prince) In November 2005 Quinton "aka" Tripps was added to The Roster. The group performed numerous shows throughout the New England area and had a myspace page that gained them noterity from across the world. They put out a mixed Cd called "Street Credibility" that sold beyond their dreams. Due to the pain from his past MJarktese became involed in alcohol, assaults, and devious behavior which got him kicked out of High School and placed on probation until his 18th birthday. Feeling that his band members didn't care what he was going through or wanted to help Marktese left The Roster in late March. His band members were shocked and plagued with rumors as to why he left. He was to stubborn to admit why, He allowed them to believe what they believed. While in a court appointed school Marktese meet Andre' Hicks and the two form the duo "Real Guttah". They Produced a demo CD with the help of The 1st Beat King of New England "Def Jeff" aka Jeffrey Hughes. The Cd never made it to circulation because in June 2006 Marktese, Andre Hicks, Lawrence Proctor, Josie ?, and Amanda ? were involed in the assault and robbery of a couple from Gorham, ME, Marktese was charged with 2 counts aggravated assaults and 3 counts robbery. Upon reading the police reports the prosecutor dropped Markteses' charges to misdemeanor assaults. Since his incarceration Marktese has learned that all the things his mother had warned him about has come to pass. That his SO_CALLED girlfriend and friends are ghost. He is free from his 9yr battle with Anger through Prayer and counseling. Don't feel sorry for him he made a mistake that could've cause him his freedom for life. ALABAMA PRINCE wants his supporters to know that he will return SOON! Also he wants to add that for the haters that help him fall thanks for keeping it real!!!!1 verse
