About Me

My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read, sometimes nothing keeps me together at the seams
I was young and restless, living on the edge of a dream.
--Motley Crue
I'm just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe.
--Jango
A long time ago, in a womb far, far away...
Peck Memorial Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, March 20th 19-something or other, to be exact, was the place where this misunderstood artist first popped his bald head into the world and said "Hey, wazzup ya all?"
As the nurses cleaned me up I told them, "Brace yourselves, beyoches, 'cause I got lots of deep stuff crammed into this cranium that begs to be unleashed." I had big goals even at that young age. Sorry, but my memory is a bit foggy on how old I actually was when I first uttered those profound words. But I developed stories and dreams and epics over the next of many years with goals of sharing them with the world artistically and professionally when the time was right.
Yet, things happened, as things often do, and I was steered off course from whatever course I was on. And here I am, in my late 30's and bald again, with many unfinished stories and projects, and sadly far from where I intended to be at this time. As of now, I'm just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe, but with my artistic and creative past still begging to be unleashed.
I have a novel completed (but which requires re-editing and certain structure changes) and several more that I had begun but not finished. I have a whole list of planned and structured stories awaiting my return, including my epic 9 book sci-fi/fantasy series which I will refer to under it's abbreviated title, PGW; a 2 book Star Wars series with the first book being nearly fully crafted out already; a Battlestar Galactica novel crafted and drafted, and several more sci-fi and non sci-fi novels to be done. The (semi) completed novel is about a 22 year old singer in a struggling band, and his drive to make his dreams happen while enduring the tragedies of his life gone out of control, over the following 7 years.
Part of me will always love and miss New York, but my days of freezing my balls off are done. Ive been living in south Florida since I was 20 and now after years of renting I finally bought a condo in Deerfield Beach.
I grew up drawing and building models, and if I told you that in the last few years I designed and built an 8 foot long, 3 foot wide futuristic city made from over 34,000 pieces of Lego, representing a world called Coruscant, you would probably think I'm some kind of Star Wars geek. Okay, I am. LOL.
What else can I say about myself?
I'm the youngest and oldest son of a one son family. I'm half Jewish on my dad's side and half Jewish on my mom's side, and I come with a side of potatoes and gravy. I am the other white meat. I'm part heart and part imagination. I am fun and funny, and sincere.
I was in retail management for 11 years, but I've put that career to rest and moved on at the end of 2005 after I bought my current condo. I'm doing health care sales now but even that isn't long term for me. As I said above I am a writer, an artist, and a photographer, and those arts are what I intend to head back to. I have a lifelong goal to achieve in my writing, and I'm getting ready to move on to bigger and better things.
I have more to say, for this section like my life is an ongoing work in progress. Tune in again, same place, same channel. If there is anything else youd care to know about me, ask. My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read. Not that I'm prepared to write about all of it here, nor would you want to read all of it because some of it is pretty dull. But the best is yet to come.
UPDATE, as of Middle August 2007:

Things have changed, as life normally does, some big doors slammed shut, and bigger ones have opened. After much study and preperation, I took the state test last week and earned my license in Health & Life Insurance. A couple of days after that I started work as an agent at a large national Health and Life Insurance company. So there you go, that is what I am; a health and life insurance agent by career, and writer and artist by interest and love of the craft.
Some quotes I happen to like:
You use a mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.

Creativity is a type of learning process where the teacher and pupil are located in the same individual.
--ARTHUR KOESTLER
Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.

All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
--PABLO PICASSO
You see things; and you say, "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?"
--GEORGE BERNARD SHAW
Probably the difference between man and the monkeys is that the monkeys are merely bored, while man has boredom plus imagination.
--LIN YUTANG
Writing slows my thoughts down. It helps me to organize, connect ideas, and above all, remember.
--BUDDHA THU

Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned.

My creativity is a little bit of depth from the heart of me.
