Gonzalo Paz

ENGLISH Gonzalo Paz Arauco F., Bolivian Rock Guitarist and composer was born in the city of La Paz. Self-taught, learned to play at the age of 14 seeing his father in his first steps. Soon he developed technical skills by observing guitarists such as, Glenn Vargas, in addition to videos of outstanding guitarists of world-wide level such as, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Hendrix, Clapton, Blackmore, among others. He studied Composition in the Bolivian Evangelical Union University in the city of La Paz. He was awarded as the best guitarist of Bolivian rock in 1995, at the Explorock Festival before called Rock-Bol; best professional guitarist of the city of La Paz at the festival Uni-Rock 1996; awarded as best tribute done in Bolivia to a foreign group (DEEP PURPLE) Tiempo de Mosh 2003. He was a member of 30 music bands of diverse styles in La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz (Bolivia), Dallas TX (U.S.A.) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) among which stand out: Black Mass, Krams, Black Jack, Metalmania, Project Purple (Tribute to Deep Purple) in La Paz, Game Over and No Name in Cochabamba, Leon Her..ldico, Tribute to AC/DC, Los Tichers, Tercer Plano, Seventh Sign (Tribute to Yngwie Malmsteen) and Kraken in Santa Cruz, War Toys with guitarist Joe Cameron in Dallas TX. and Nucrectos in the city of Buenos Aires Argentina. He was a member of the Bolivian Choral Society as a baritone, Session Musician at the Bolivian Catholic University (La Paz) in the seminary of pop music; guitarist in the disc presentation of balladist Rodrigo Rojas, and also guitarist in the disc presentation of the pop rock band, named Tercer Plano; He was the guitarist of the famous Spanish singer Manolo Otero in his tour by Bolivia in 2006. He represented Bolivia in THE SOUTH AMERICAN GUITAR MASTERS 2006, in the city of La Paz accompanied by his band, Metalmania, Pablo Soler (Arg) and Marcos De Ros (Bra) outstanding and virtuous musicians at Latin American level. He was a guitarist of the consecrated English CAAMORA group, led by Clive Nolan and the brilliant singer Agniezka Swit in his unique and wonderful presentation of Rock Opera held in Santa Cruz Bolivia in May 2008.He is professor of electrical guitar in the Superior Institute of Beautiful Arts (Santa Cruz), in pop music; he also directed the pop music band in the Enterprising School of the same city; he wrote a book (text) on Musical Theory and Didactics for electrical guitar, which is spread of particular form; he is a musical producer at the ATA Productions studio.----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- ESPANOL Gonzalo Paz Arauco F., Guitarrista y compositor de Rock boliviano nacio en la ciudad de La Paz. Autodidacta, aprendio a tocar guitarra a la edad de 14 anos viendo a su padre en sus primeros pasos, luego desarrollandose en la tecnica observando al guitarrista Glenn Vargas, ademas de videos en vivo de eximios guitarristas a nivel mundial como Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Hendrix, Clapton, Blackmore, entre otros. Estudio Composicion en la Universidad Union Evangelica Boliviana en la ciudad de La Paz. Fue premiado como mejor guitarrista de rock boliviano 1995 en los Festivales Explorock antes llamados Rock-Bol, mejor guitarrista profesional de la ciudad de La Paz en el festival Uni-Rock 1996, premiado como mejor tributo hecho en Bolivia a grupo extranjero (DEEP PURPLE), Tiempo de Mosh 2003, fue integrante de mas de 30 Bandas de diversos estilos en La Paz, Cochabamba y Santa Cruz (Bolivia), Dallas TX (EEUU) y Buenos Aires (Argentina) entre los que se destacan Black Mass, Krams, Black Jack, Metalmania, Proyecto Purpura (Tributo a Deep Purple)en La Paz, Game Over y No Name en Cochabamba, Le..n Her..ldico, Tributo a AC/DC, Los Tichers, Tercer Plano, Septimo Signo (Tributo a Yngwie Malmsteen) Kraken y M..dula en Santa Cruz, War Toys con el guitarrista Texano Joe Cameron en Dallas TX. y Nucrectos en la ciudad de Buenos Aires Argentina, fue integrante de la Sociedad Coral Boliviana como baritono, Musico de sesion en la Universidad Catolica Boliviana (La Paz) en su taller de musica popular, guitarrista para la presentacion del disco del baladista Rodrigo Rojas, y tambien guitarrista en la presentacion del disco del grupo rock pop Tercer Plano; Fue guitarrista del famoso cantante espanol Manolo Otero en su gira por Bolivia 2006. Represento a Bolivia en el THE SOUTH AMERICAN GUITAR MASTERS 2006, en la ciudad de La Paz acompanado por su banda Metalmania junto a Pablo Soler (Arg) y Marcos De Ros (Bra) destacados y virtuosos guitarristas a nivel latinoamericano. Fué guitarrista del consagrado grupo ingles CAAMORA, liderizado por Clive Nolan y la brillante cantante Agniezka Swita en su única y magnífica presentación de Rock Opera realizada en Santa Cruz Bolivia en mayo de 2008.Es docente de guitarra electrica en el Instituto Superior de Bellas Artes, (Santa Cruz) en la carrera de musica popular, tambien dirigio al grupo de musica popular en el Colegio Emprendedor de la misma ciudad, escribio un libro (texto) sobre Teoria Musical y Didactica para guitarra electrica, el cual es difundido de forma particular, es productor musical en el estudio ATA Producciones. ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------EQUIPAMENTO - GONZALO PAZ..
