Suzi Foxx - Life starts at Midnight

About Me

Me, I'm a complex person. Not difficult to get to know because I'm trusting and generally I accept people at face value but let's face it, any boy who spends time dressed as a girl has to have a few.... complications!
For me life is all about friends and freedom of expression. Friends are the ones who make sense of you. If you don't fit where you are, somewhere there will be someone just as insane as you who will share your outlook. The trick is finding them, and when you do find them don't ever let them go. Friends are the true loves of your life. When you've been an only child born to homophobic parents in a tiny rural village in the middle of nowhere and you just know that there's a girl as well as a boy inside you, hey that can really fuck you up! So someone who understands why you're a freaked out, scrunched up ball of neurosis and can still love you is an essential. Friends are cool people, believe me.
The other crucial thing is finding yourself, understanding who you are and feeling free to express yourself, whether that is verbally, physically or visually. The people I love most are not afraid to express themselves and swim against the flow. I like to find interesting new people because you always need to add new people to your life to diversify your emotional and mental gene pool. But don't ever come and talk to me if you don't have anything to say because you won't last a minute in my life. And certainly don't ever think you can take advantage. I may be blond but I'm not dumb.
Love is wonderful, but I can live without it. I've had to because once I understood who I was and what I wanted out of life I simply couldn't find anyone who could deal with me. Actually let me ammend that, I have a very clear idea of what I want and what attracts me and it's a very narrow band of the gender that is men. That's not being arrogant, I'm just very specific in what I like. The boys I go for, and it happens rarely, are generally not into the sort of person I am.
Generally I find men supremely dull, unimaginative and unsophisticated. There are exceptions.
I'm a kind, loving and compassionate person on the whole. I try to do some good in this world. Hey we all want to leave the world a better place for us having been in it. But to be honest all that matters is that my friends love me as I have no need for the praise of strangers.
I don't lead different lives as a boy and girl. I don't need to. I'm both boy and girl on the inside all the time and that's allowed me up to be who I am. It was a long journey getting here but fuck it was fun.
Work, well I need a creative challenge. I've worked in advertising, magazine publishing and web design. I'm a perfectionist, which usually means late nights and attention to detail. And I've worked in clubs where I've met some brilliant, magical, unique and lovely people.
Just one person who you won't know but has been a bright light in my life and I want to say I love him here - Mat - I couldn't imagine being without you babe.
If you want to get to know me better then feel free to say hello, but people, don't ask to be friends if you don't have a picture of yourself showing your face or if you can't be bothered to introduce yourself properly with a message. And don't EVER send me a friends request OR a message if your pic is of you from the waist down in panties.

My Interests

Cinema, Poetry - I love Christina Rossetti. I'm a very visual person so I love cool photography. Anything by David LaChapelle, Nick Knight or Ellen von Unwerth. Clubbing - Pushca, Redlight, Ultra@Area. Shopping - D&G, Galliano and Portobello/Camden markets. Beauty in anything, Drag.

I'd like to meet:

Someone who I fall in love with who also falls in love with me!!! On second thoughts, Nah!!!

Music:

I love lots of different types of music, so probably best to just limit myself to a favourite few.

The Clash, The Doors, Elastica, The Smiths, Madonna, Suede, Zero7, The Undertones, George Michael, Whitney (sometimes), Depeche Mode, James Morrison, Angie Stone, Soul to Soul and if I'm out it's gotta be Funky dirty house or Electro...

Movies:

OK I go to see a lot of movies. I guess a hitlist of my favourites would be:

Angel-A, Bladerunner, Cabaret, Lord of the Rings (Return of the King), Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring), The Matrix, Star Wars (Attack of the Clones), Godfather Pt 1, Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, Withnail an I, Minority Report, Monty Python's Life of Bryan, Aliens, The Fifth Element, AI, Children of Men, Once Upon a Time in the West, V for vendetta, It's a weird and wonderful list. But those are my faves.

Television:

Hmmm. Not much as I have a life. But I watched all of the last season of Heroes and 24 on DVD.

Books:

NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE - Jerry Hopkins and Danny Sugarman.
The most enthralling glimpse into the mind of the twisted genius that was Jim Morrison. I love this book. For all who walk alone and for all who want to snap back at the world this is your bible.

A RIOT OF OUR OWN - Johnny Green & Garry Barker
For anyone who loves The Clash this is a beautiful inside look at what really went on behind the scenes.

THE COMPLETE WORKS OF SHAKESPEAR
This should be compulsory

HIGH FIDELITY - Nick Hornby
Genius! The book everyone who's ever ended a relationship can relate to.

TALES OF THE CITY SERIES - Armisted Maupin

Heroes:

Coccinelle - One of the earliest transexuals who worked at the Carrousel in Paris in the '50s.

She was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, never mind the most beautiful transexual. She blazed a trail for us all and she led THE most incredible life. She spent her life after the Carrousel campaigning for transgendered rights and she died aged 75 on October 19th 2006.

I'm utterly in awe of her. For those of you who are not familiar with Coccinelle please look at

It had to happen. Sorry if you didn't survive. But I just got sick of having 350+ friends most of whom I had no idea who they were or how they crept onto my friends list. So I randomly severed 100 or ...

A week in India, they said, and you'll come back a different person. "Hmmm, unlikely," I thought. Well it's true, in more than just the obvious way. I've been to a lot of places and I really have neve...

Just accept it when it's good and shut up!

I've done a lot of complaining on here. I guess it's a platform for an outpouring of excess emotion and, god knows, when the shit hits the emotion overflows as well. It's cathartic to unburden to the ...
