About Me

In the beginning, there was Void. Void didn't have any friends. Void was bored and so decided to open its eye (or what would have been an eye had there been anything there). Nothingness was thus spawned. Void and Nothingness got along well. They had similar interests and disinterests. More disinterest really since there was not much to be interested in. Void and Nothingness collided in a huge Thunk. They could talk about the Thunk, though making sense of it was difficult. Thunk, meanwhile, had become Something. As Something, Nothingness took Interest (who had sponaneoulsy come into being) to the edge of Void beyond which Everything was coming to be. Eventually, Everything came to include Me. I can only assume taht Everything includes you, the reader, now too. Otherwise you are Void or Nothingness, in which case you are really really old and probably have some good stories to tell.

My Interests

In no particular order: gadgets, science, math, shiny things, juggling, bicycling, things that smell strange but not bad, playing piano, cooking for other people...

I'd like to meet:

Someone who, like Mary Poppins, is practically perfect in every way (at least for me).

Music:

I play piano and keep telling myself I'm going to get back to playing sax. One of these days, I'd like to try bagpipes.I listen to a hodgepodge, ranging from classical to jazz to metal to nerdcore to classic rock to whatever isn't a commercial on the radio.Currently playing on iTunes is: Kenny Wayne Shepherd -- Aberdeen Next on iTunes: Billy Joel -- Captain Jack

Movies:

I've seen about 80 of the AFI 100. I like all sorts of stuff. Recently I've been watching whatever netflix recommends. It's been hit or miss.

Television:

Gordon Ramsay's F word, Drawn Together, Doctor Who, BSG.

Books:

I've been reading a lot less since I've started sleeping at night. That and not having a lamp in my room probably helps too.
