About Me

Claire.
21 years.
Law Student & Browncoat.
That’s all there really is.
I love music, though I wouldn’t say it was my life.
Though I do live for it.
Punk, Rock, Ska.
And anything that falls between.
It all comes down to this...
Rise Against, Cookie Dough, Chicago, Talking to Alex, Hanging out with my friends, My camera, Vodka, Insomnia, Clive Owen films, Jack Dee, Pancake night, Strange drunken encounters, Creepers, Not being in Chester, My I-pod, Bi-polar, Gigs, PS2, Being the only one who knows Slick Shoes, My guitar, NCIS, The Rip, Tony Slattery, People who give a damn about stuff, Watching DVDs all night, Skates, Hoodies, My jacket with ears, Pyjamas.
And none of this really matters...
Shallowness, Bi-polar, People who mess with my friends, Wii controllers, Panic! At the Disco, Fascists and Racists, Any other nasty word that ends with ist, Snobby people, Small bedrooms, Jam, Hypocrisy, Having no enthusiasm, Clive Anderson, Crap weather, Resident Evil Apocalypse, LastFM taking forever, Beef, Harry-fuck-face-Potter.
Have the decency not to judge me entirely on what I write in sleep-deprived, caffeine fuelled moments. This page is my own and, as such, I reserve the right to hold any opinion that I wish, if you don’t like it, you know where the back button is.
As you can no doubt tell, I like and dislike a great many things. I guarantee there is something you think that I will disagree with. How you deal with that is entirely up to you.
Oh and this page is a stop-gap measure while I finish coding a nice one.
Have a nice day.
White People For Peace
This is my music, if you don't like it, then you probably won't like me.

My Interests

I love going to gigs and hanging out with my friends. Yes, I realise everyone on myspace says that, and quite frankly I don’t care. I especially love spending time with my friends at gigs. For the most part I spend my time listening to music, watching movies/tv and writing. I love the coffee shop scene and like nothing better than to spend the afternoon chilling out over a nice coffee. Please note, when I say the coffee shop scene, I don’t mean sitting in a coffee shop because I can’t get served in the pub because I can, thank you.

I'd like to meet:

No. Stop. Remove head from ass before even thinking about hitting that add button.

No, I will not be your friend just so you have another number on your profile and, no, I don’t care if we hang out from time to time. This myspace is to keep in touch with my friends back home as well as my close friends in Derby. Don’t add me if you have no intention of talking to me and definitely don’t add me if we have nothing in common or because you want to bitch about my taste.

Music:

N.B. I'm not going to list every band/artist I like, just my favourites.

Adam and the Ants, Aerosmith, Against All Authority, Against Me!, Alice Cooper, Anti-Flag , AutoPilot Off, A Wilhelm Scream, Better than Ezra, Black Flag, Brand New, David Bowie, Descendents, Dropkick Murphy’s, Echo and the Bunnymen, Eddie and the Hotrods, Five For Fighting, Fony, From Autumn to Ashes, From First to Last, Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, Joe Satriani, Korn, Less than Jake, The Living End, Madcap, Millencolin, My Awesome Compilation, My Chemical Romance, No Use For a Name, No Trigger , Offspring, Queen, Rise Against Silver Chair, Slick Shoes, Smashing Pumpkins, Sugarcult, Steve Vai, Strike Anywhere, Strung Out, Switchfoot, The Briefs, The Briggs, The F ups, The Used, The Unseen, Three Doors Down, Tsunami Bomb
Bands I've seen.
Bands I

Movies:

I love movies, to list them all would take all day, so here’s my brief but definitive list.

The Usual Suspects,
Goodfellas,
Boondock Saints,
Serenity,
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang,
Atonement,
A Guide to Recognising Your Saints,
Last King of Scotland,
Officer and a Gentleman,
Kill Bill vol. 2,
The Departed,
Young Frankenstein,
Pulp Fiction,
Reservoir Dogs.

Ok, if you couldn’t already tell; I love gangster/crime thrillers but will watch most genres.

I tend to watch films based on who is in them, so I suppose you could say that I go through phases. Right now, in anticipation of the Iron Man movie, I’m on a Robert Downey Jr phase which has followed my James McAvoy kick.

Television:

I love television, though for the most part I watch things on the internet. I’m far too impatient to wait a whole week to watch a one hour episode.
I love the following;

Lost,
Firefly,
Charlie Jade,
Dexter,
Without a Trace,
Bones,
House,
Taken,
CSI,
Auf Wiedersehen, Pet,
Father Ted,
Blackadder,
Family Guy,
Futurama,
Scrubs,
Mock the Week,
Californication,
Whose Line is it Anyway?,
Top Gear,
Moonlight.

Books:

I like to read, I don’t usually get the time but when I do; I enjoy it.

Rift War Saga/Serpent War Saga - Raymond E Fiest
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
Dune Trilogy - Frank Herbert
Legends of the Raven Series - James Barclay
The Bell Jar - Silvia Plath

I also enjoy the following comics/graphic novels;

Lucifer - Vertigo
Hellblazer - Vertigo
Serenity - Dark Horse
X-factor - Marvel

Heroes:

Really I only have the one. Spike Milligan. My ultimate hero and quite possibly the funniest man to have ever lived.

Lost Season 4 Episode 6!

Ok, this isn't a blog per say, I just didn't want to put these in a bulletin on the off chance that someone else was watching season four of Lost. And, yes, before anyone asks, I do still watch lost ...

But, honestly...

The media bothers me. A lot. And I'm not going to lie, most of the time it really pisses me off, which is why I tend to avoid certain publications and the news on certain channels. The majority of ne...

I'm not a fan of Christmas, but why dwell on the obvious? It's not really worth it, life goes on, time still passes, you can kick and scream all you want; it's inevitability. It's that tick that follo...
