‘You and I have memories that are longer than the road that stretches out ahead.’

About Me

I have worked in various industries with a wide variety of companies, from financial planning to high technology to entrepreneurships and Fortune 100 companies. I have come to a point in my life where I have made a little money, don't want to work for paychecks and would prefer to pursue other investment avenues as well as spend more time traveling, on my hobbies, and other interests.
The pictures I posted are just 1 side of me. I am actually very quiet like a shy house cat, at least until I warm up to you.
Went to Tokyo last year for an extended R&R and a friend's bachelor party. All I can say is that even with only an average of 3-4 hours of sleep every day, it was still the best 10 days in a row of my life (at that time)! Once you sampled the sweet taste of Roppongi, you will always crave more. And with the dollar strengthening against the Yen, now is a good time to go back for another visit.
Job wise I am still happily NOT working (May 31, 2006 marked the anniversary of my last day of work) and if I have it my way I will not work again!. Now I trade mostly stocks and derivatives to pay my expenses and trips. This kind of investing can be really stressful and depressing on bad days (down $50K on paper), but I am making more than what I would have earned working 50-60 hours weeks (even with my many rookie investing mistakes and bad picks) and my schedule is as flexible as someone who is practically retired. I know some people who look down on me thinking I am some unemployed bum lacking professional ambition and basically not living up to my potential, which is fine. My lifestyle is not for everyone, and not everyone can roll with the huge ups and downs that comes with my aggressive style of equity investing. I know I don't have the coveted titles or cool initials at the end of my name, and I may not make as much guarantee income as those professionals, but I "work" as long as I want when I want, from anywhere with good Internet connection and have the time and financial resources to live a life of leisure. Besides how many of these "Directors", VP at JP Morgan can just take off and travel for months at a time? Sure they probably have the money to live it up, but their time belongs to someone else.
The 3 weeks spent in South America was interesting and I was able to hit up most of the tourist spots in Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil, but it was also very costly in terms of significant paper losses in my portfolio and missed opportunity costs that would have offset much of the decline in portfolio value. I still have plans to spend 6 months in Asia after this last trip, but just have to book my flights to Taiwan, and then research vacation condos to rent while I stay in Thailand and Vietnam. So if you are knowledgeable about Bangkok or Saigon, send me a message, I would love to find out more from an 'expert' before heading over there.
Since coming back from Italy, I find myself waking up when the stock markets open (which is good since I live in California), but then needing a little siesta in the afternoon to make it through the rest of the day. I guess that is the residue of the Sicilian lifestyle that I have managed to picked up. Piano piano :)

My Interests

Cooking and eating. Beautiful people. Photography. Traveling. Making Fast Money. And someday to find love, true love, love like you've never dreamed of.

I'd like to meet:

There have been many discussions of what the perfect guy or girl is. What is your idea of a perfect mate? Here's some of mine (and call me if you fit the criteria)

1. A personality that meshes with mine. A girl that loves to have fun, joke around, and laugh quite a bit. She also should know when to be serious about things (there's always a time to laugh and a time to get things done).
2. An independent woman. I'm all for my girlfriend depending on me when she needs me and of course I'll always be there for her, but I think it's healthy that she depends on herself as well... that she knows how to get things done on her own and doesn't always need others to help her out.
3. Knows where her life is going and what she plans to do for her future (career... etc.). If you're really serious in a relationship.. it's hard to see past the present if the other person doesn't think about their own future and how it'll affect the relationship.... otherwise you live day by day wondering if anything will come out of it.
4. Great smile ... I'm a sucker for a girl with a great smile.
5. While I am making a list she might as well also be intelligent, funny, honest and beautiful. Someone who is caring and open-minded. Basically just your average amazing girl, who looks fantastic, is beautiful and is sweet too, that is very important!
There are of course more, but I think those are some of the most important criteria...

Diane Mizota, I miss her hosting the old "Filter" on G4. I just don't feel the new girl fits in to the whole G4's gaming environment, unless she hosts every show in bikinis or something.

Layla Kayleigh. She looks awesome and I simply love the sound of her voice.

I am a pretty giving person (my buddies have told me hundreds of times that is my biggest problem, but I think I am over that now or at least only nice to the people that are nice back to me) and I want to find women that also like to give as much as they like to receive. People who are courteous and have good manners. People who are not neglectful.

Oh yeah, I also want to meet people with an interest in digital photography (in front and behind the camera) or post-processing (i.e., Photoshop CS2, Aperture).

The "Fast Money" guys. Just been researching the companies/sectors/trends they talked about on their daily shows and trading off of their ideas. YTD I have already realized enough net profits to exceed what I used to make working all year! The only bad thing about this is most of my friends have regular jobs and/or have new infants in their lives, so any trips I want to go on I will most likely have to do it solo.

Erin Burnett. She is one of CNBC's eye candy, very intelligent and knows the market, what more can a guy asks for?

Whats your favorite way of meeting people when traveling alone? Do you have a special trick? I like to stalk the sci-fi shelf at the local library or bookstore, most people browsing there are friendly and open-minded people who like aliens. :)

I want to meet people who are interested in traveling. If you are into traveling and exploring the world send me a note! Or find me on AIM or Skype: aznttboy.

Heroes:

The Iron Chefs (OG Japanese ones, and not the overrated jackass like Bobby Flay).
