THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
An industrial meltdown of grindcore, death and black metal, dark ambience and experimental electronics with a soulful edge to grind and blow the mind of the daring listener, 'TETRAGRAMMATON', O Anjo Exterminador's (Portuguese for EXTERMINATING ANGEL) debut runs for 71 minutes of grinding holocaustic avant garde metal music.
Coming from Brazil, the act claims inspiration and likeness t acts such as Napalm Death, Scorn, Godflesh, Bolt Thrower, Naked City/Painkiller, Death In June, Killing Joke, Swans and undoubtelly OLD/James Plotkin amongst many, many others.
Including in the lyrics about the occult and methaphysical concepts are glyphs, combinations and secrets only the most adventurous listener will be able to put together. An audiable puzzle of references to be explored!
The booklet Includes groundbreaking fantasy artwork by brazillian sci fi/horror artist Edgar Franco (responsible for the artwork of the french band MELEK-THA) and a huge coloured poster of the famous dark creature Cthulhu, created by H.P. Lovecraft, designed by the lead singer and composer Joaquim Ghirotti.
A weird, wild symphony of experimental metal destruction designed to take you in a journey of over one hour of violent music to mangle your ears!
Point is to make heavy music without having to obey boring sound trends. So I rely heavily in what I happen to like. Listen and find out for yourself. There's a bit of electronica going on, lot's of heavy riffs, harsh vocals, atmosphere, nice and cozy. Intense, yes it is. Tracks are VERY different from one another.
Feel free to ask to be our friends. We love friends. Oh I have made a personal myspace for myself, so if you would like to add me or send me spam messages etc: www.myspace.com/jayjaygrind

PREMIERE OF OUR FIRST FULL LENGTH VIDEO
This is an original video made for the track THE CHILD IS DEAD from our CD TETRAGRAMMATON. The video was produced, directed and developed by master editor, artist and director Felipe Madureira. No stranger to the genre of alternative, avant garde and surreal filmmaking, Madureira has created a pictorial nightmare that marries perfectly with the music and the lyrics of the song.
Based in a collage of 50's awareness films, documentaries, underground artwork, special effects and much more, he has produced a psychedelic, dreamlike, disturbing video heavilly influenced and linked to the works of filmmakers such as Kenneth Anger, Alejandro Jodorowsky, David Lynch, Stan Brakhage, Rene Claire, Ken Jacobs and many others.
A dark, surreal journey evoking hallucitations and bringing up jungian references to the uncounscious mind. The film is designed to represent altered states of consciousness, darkness, depression, the debilitating human body and allegories of insanity and the asseptic denial of FLESH in our daily lives.
Enjoy and feel free to comment.

Putting things in perspective
This is a experimental, avant garde video for a band that is here to be different. Therefore, it's here to bring up mood and different reactions and symbolisms within the internal mind code of each viewer.
Art, sometimes is better not explained, but experienced.
However, I will give away SOME explanations to the images represented.
At first we have the figure of the NURSE, walking slowly towards the building, a hospital. The dark shadowy figure that should bring us the feeling of warmth and protection is hereby actually more aligned to the image of a grim reaper, a bringer of death, an announcement of dark things to come.
Next is the figure of an abandoned child in a wrecked scenario. This relates to the loss of innocence and the death of childhoold discussed in the lyrics of this song. We have both the death of childhood represented by the dark, waving cape of the nurse, and it's philosophical antagonist, the abandoned child itself.
The images repeat themselves, like dreams, like a childhood lost, showing children, workers in their everyday, mindless, meaningless lives.
Meanwhile, the human body, this fragile structure, is contaminated.
Slowly.
By virus.
By bacteria.
By dreams.
By nightmarish visions.
Human cells and organs are exposed and explored. Manipulating flesh. With our x-rays, we think we can understand the human soul.
This fragile cast we call body is invaded by microorganisms, taking over the powerful innocence of the human body, of men, wrecking the dream of making it and winning over nature.
The naivety of a harp playing is superimposed with the harsh sound of loud guitars.
We build machines, test our bodies, look for a cure and assure ourselves that we will find one, that there is a cure. That, in the end, everything is ok.
Meanwhile, while innocent children play, live in their working class houses, dreadful nightmares of the human soul still innhabit the dark corners of our minds. Even through we try to hide them and create a perfect world.
The human body is dissected and studied in diagrams and graphs. To exhaustion. However, as much as we manipulate flesh, x-rays, observe ourselves with machines, no cure is found to the torments of the human soul. Our minds still torment us
Finally, the faces of dead children. With darkened eyes, like dolls. Void of innocence in a world taken over by false reassuring, lies and machines, by industrial repetition and alienation that kills our minds, our imagination, our inner will.
The dark doll-like faces disturb us.
The child is dead.
We hide behind toys and bought goods, new shoes and teddy bears, to try to fill in the void.
But the child is dead.
Finally, the nurse/death figure/grim reaper takes over again. Repetition. The circle and cycle of life. With it's dark back turned to us, it's cape flying slowly, softly like wings, leaving us, or heading towards us, to the building where WE ARE, the hospital where our lives will end.
The same infants seen in the beginning of the film are isolated. In an abandoned, wrecked, torn and lonely place. Away from the willpower of creativity that once filled their minds.
Killed by microscopes and industrial repetition, and a fake smile, an assurance that "everything will be allright".
While we try to cure and explore our bodies like a diagram, our minds still are populated by nightmares and twisted dreams, that governs our actions and lead us to war, to passionate crimes, to insanity, to betrayal, to brother killing brother, to depression, to madness, to empty lives, to violence, to shopping as a substitute for life, to the dead child.
