Black Jewels Series by Ann Bishop and her Pillars of the World Books too, Daughter of the Forest series by Juilet Marrieler sp?), Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, (duh, i'll never forget when my Dad brought them in my room in high school and said here are some books i guarantee you won't finish in a weekend, I then reread them every summer- this was way before the movies ever came out), Harry Potter, Narnia, Jan Karon's Father Tim series is great when you need some sappy goodness, Life of Pi, I'm reading a lot of Luna books lately- they are kinda like junk food reading. The Catherine Asaro Luna books are really good. Jane Austen is hilarious!! Gregory Macquire's fairy tale books are pure genius I love Confessions of a Wicked Stepsister so much more then Wicked, Jenifer Weiner is good when your in a chick flick kinda mood and so are the Shopoholic Books, The Handmaid's Tale will freak you out and make you think, Jean Aeul's series is great if you can get over the whole cave man thing, and my husband's short stories :) love ya honey
