Steve, Henry, Adam and Matt were the best of friends for years. One day they decided to all pick up instruments and create a seperate entity called SHAM. Their goal was to allow for the free expression of emotion through the wonders of music. Soon after formation, their individual personalities morphed into a single being who possessed all their skills. They were unable to retrieve their previous selves and the being denied that they existed in the first place.SHAM told Rolling Stone magazine: "My parents couldn't have given me worse initials. People treat me as if I were a complete fraud; a liar. I have to compensate for the phony world around me by creating something real. The truth scares people, but I want to make it edible."
