Spending time with family and friends, going out to dinner,DANCING, MOVIES, sports events (esp. Baseball games), concerts, scrapbooking (I take alot of photos so I can make memories last forever), and hosting charity fundraiser events, and just having fun laughing.
I'd like to meet friends with the same honest intentions, who have morals and a positive outlook on life. This site has already brought special friends into my life and I thank God for this incredible gift. Please do not send me a request to be my friend, if you are a liar and here for the purpose of sending pornographic suggestions. I would love to find that special someone and share my life with him, who will love me, my son, my family, my heritage and get along with my friends. I don't "date around" just to see what's out there. I want to build a lasting relationship and share my heart with the one who longs for my companionship, and not care that I'm G.U.D. (geographically undesireable).
I still live in the 70's & 80's when it comes to music. My favorite group is Earth, Wind & Fire. I love anything with a funky beat and/or meaningful words. Some of my favorite artist include: EW&F, Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey,Madonna, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, Prince, Jon Secada, JLo, David Cassidy, Rick Springfield, Barry Manilow, Rick James, Lionel Richie, etc. I grew up listening to everything from Frank Sinatra to the Beatles. So many new artist today are very talented. I like the Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, Nick Lachey, and Justin Timberlake.
"Chick Flicks" are my favorite. I can watch some movies over and over again, and laugh and cry as if I watched it for the first time. I love movies that make you think and go HMMM...Adventure and Suspense. I don't care for unnecessary Violence, Horror and Gore. Favorites: Jerry Maguire, A Big Fat Greek Wedding, Big/Forest Gump,,When Harry Met Sally, Funnygirl/The Way We Were, Somethings Gotta Give, Pay it Forward, My Best Friend's Wedding/Pretty Woman,About Last Night, A Dog Named Skip, A Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Flashdance, Grease, Sixteen Candles, Hard to Hold, Legally Blonde, Staying Alive, Field of Dreams/For the Love of the Game,How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, The Wedding Singer, The Wedding Planner,Pearl Harbor, Phantom of the Opera, and I could go on and on.
I grew up addictive to TV because I was raised during the best years of television. We had some of the greatest shows to watch as kids. Today, I hardly have time to sit and watch one show. I do enjoy Dancing with the Stars, Nip/Tuck, American Idol, The Bachelor, and reruns of Sex and the City. During the day, I try and catch "ABC Daytime Soaps" and SoapNet, Oprah, and Good Morning America.
Again, the romantic comes out in me, and I will read any Danielle Steele novel. I just read a Dr. Phil's book on love and relationships, "Smart Love."(thank you Cat) "when one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us"
My heros are my grandparents, God rest their souls. They left Greece the day after they married, and came to America to live the American Dream. They left their parents, brothers, sisters, and relatives behind to live a better life for themselves and their children.
