Music of all kinds, sailing, puppets, writing, psychology, the human mind and it's development, philosophy, hula hooping, saws, woodworking, welding, Germans, the Irish, peace, travel, cuisine, the French, personal theories, environment, skateboards, relationships with friends and family, skin, spirituality, knitting/crochet, starting trends, collecting turn ons, good men, giving advice, motorcycles, single malt scotch, man arms, 70's mustaches, I love finishing a project, sewing, blushing, hiking, dancing, change, stimulating elation, theatre, writing, museums, comedy, literature, cinema, fashion, new words, bars with character, and jukeboxes. Damn, I love jukeboxes.
I want to meet fearless, talented, smart, honest and cultured people who treat others with respect. I like funny people who can be serious when it's needed. I like to feel like I can change and grow, so I want people around me that are doing the same. It's cool if you have a foul mouth, but I like to know that if my friends meet my boss or family, that they will speak intelligently, with class and confidence. I dig writers and artists. I want to meet people who have something to teach, and something to learn, people with wit and lots of interests. People who like to go out, or stay home. I want to meet people who know themselves and enjoy who they are. Cool people who embrace their inner geek or nerd, are good to waiters, and are willing to say hello to anyone who meets their eye.
I love a good jukebox single from any era, like: Midnight Train to Georgia (Night,) Sir Duke (Wonder,) Girl from Ipanema (Getz and Gilberto,) Angel Eyes (Healey,) On the Dark Side (Cruisers,) Dreams (F Mac), Joline (Dolly,) She's Got You (Cline,) My Kinda Lover (Squire.) Some people remember me as the girl who spent many a dance party near the speakers, mouthing every syllable of Paul's Boutique by The Beastie Boys. I love Parliament, Lennon, Marley, Prince, Kings of Leon and Bowie, too. I'm just now starting to get into hip hop, Devendra, lily allen, samba, even some classic country.
I love movies! I rent more than I attend, but I am the kind of person that movies are made for. A good audience member. I tend to see the picture as it is intended to be painted. I sit down and open up to the world of the picture, and they don't have to try too hard to reel me in. I know if a film has merit or not, but I don't waste too much viewing time picking things apart...it's not worth my time or ticket. I am glad that fright flix are back en vogue, I have always loved Freddy Movies! As with my music choices, my favorites change often, but I will always love Annie Hall, Fight Club, Secretary, Donnie Darko, Napoleon Dynamite, The Royal Tenenbaums, Goodfellas, The Muppet Caper, Big Lebowski, Six degrees of Separation, and Princess Bride. Did anyone see I Heart Huckabees? Textbook philosophies in there... see it. You'll hate it! It's great. Also see "What the *..%? (Bleep) Do we know?" (neuropathways and love) Snakes on a Plane, what do I say? (Oh, PCU. I always laugh.)
If I'm gonna watch TV, I'll watch The Daily Show, Colbert report, Simpsons, Sopranos, Weeds, or Real Time with Bill Mahr. (RIP Ali G, Sex and the City, Strangers With Candy, Rags to Ritches, Arrested Development, 6 Feet Under, Greg the Bunny, The Wade Robson Project, Puttin' on the Hits, Remote Control, and Small Wonder) Guilty Pleasure: Project Runway
Illusions, Still Life With Woodpecker, The Catcher in the Rye, Fountainhead, The Alchimest, O. Henry Short Stories, No Exit, by Sartre, and I bet I'd be a member of Gryffindor House, if sorted into a type.
