It all began in 1993 when Soulthek heard the first beats and grooves and felt for the first time the vibe of Electronic Music. When this
curiosity appeared he started to follow the scene very closely. He gave his first gig in a club on his hometown by the year 2001. That gig showed him that making people dance and smile was what he wanted to do for life. Since the beginning, Soulthek received influences from diversified artists like Kruder & Dorfmeister, Cinematic Orchestra, Mr Scruff, Supra Numeri, Bonobo, DJ Food, Hexstatic, Fug… Which did not define his style but certainly made him a very eclectic and open-minded artist. Soulthek already played in some clubs and parties over Portugal like Via Club in Coimbra, Pessidónio in Figueira da Foz, 3Pinheiros in Mealhada, The Day After in Viseu, Spread The Beat, Tondela Dance Weekend, Viseu, the Elektro Parade 2003 in Oporto...In this journey full of emotions and good vibes he played with some of the best portuguese and international DJ’s like John Creamer, DJ Jiggy, Carlos Fauvrelle, Miss Sheila, The Fox, Kika Lewis, DJ Babalu, Oskar.DJ, P. Carrilho, Diego Miranda, DJ Luis Ferro, Joanna Pinho, etc. ... Soulthek’s sets may bring to you the finest and the most melodic Deep House or the roughest and darkest progressive House Music.
Soulthek’s music productions are also beginning to be successful. His tracks are receiving good critics nationally and internationally.
