About Me

Hi, my name is Tom Stahnke and this is a solo effort outside the usual Rock n' Roll I've been doing for seems like 1000 years or so, give or take a year or two. I started playing trombone in 6th grade and played with the Notre Dame H.S. marhcing band while all along learning to play the the guitar and sing, which came natural. My favorite band of the many bands I was in was "HyFlyer" who rocked the Chicagoland area in the late 70's (see the HyFlyer link in my friends). Band members consisted of Tom Stahnke (that's me) on vocals, Perry Schober and the late Al Suarez on flaming guitars, Frank D. Collett on the skins, Ed Currie, who now goes under the name of Buddha Slim on the keyboards and Vince Testa on bass. Presently Perry Schober and myself are working on a new HyFlyer album and if you're out there somewhere Frank, we're looking for you.So I sold out and took a break from the low paying rock n' roll scene for a few years to bring pleasure to a lot of brides and grooms and their guests to do the much better paying Disc Jockey thing under the name of "Rolling Tones Mobile D.J.'s". When that started getting old I joined up with a couple of women, one being my wife and the other being her sister (yeah so I knew it was a mistake from the get go) to open the night club "Main Stage" in Wonder Lake Il. Where the hell is Wonder Lake? No wonder it wasn't a success. Location, Location, Location. But Lots of great bands played there including Molly Hatchett. If you go to my web site which is on this page, you'll be able to listen to a lot of music from bands that played there. If you click on "contact" on the website and go to the "Main Stage" link there's lots of pictures of some of the bands. Go to Molly Hatchett pictures. That was one of the best nights we had there. This collection of songs consistits of "Pitch A Tent" which is a song about my good friend Russ Corey who pitched a tent and blew his head off with a shotgun, "That Daddy Song" a self explainitory song about a dead beat dad, "1-2-3-4" a rocker and "You're Everything To Me" about my relationship with Jesus.I hope you enjoy what you hear and thanks for listini I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 ng.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
