Sam Riley, 21yrs old, Born in (Gods City) Manchester!!Began his love for producing growing up listening to all different styles of music, from leaving school aged 11 -12 he already took time out at night to listen to judge jules on the radio while laying in bed.
His passion for dance music never left him, and all through high school and into college he decided he wanted to become involved in the music scene!Through browsing the internet he looked for oppertunities to get involved!College never appealed to him and his plans for the future, believing in living life to the full he decided to get involved no matter what it took!The S-S-R (School Of Sound Recording) began running DJ courses in the summer 2003, and as it was approaching he wanted to enroll, and begin his dream!After a few weeks he was offered a place on the DJ Technics course in Manchester (His Hometown). While on the course he had the best 6 months of his life, doing something he loved to do, something he looked forward to everyday!Also he noticed a Music Production class in the next room, every thursday it came around, and more and more he wanted to get involved!
Unfortunatly after 6 months he had finished his DJ course, gaining a City & Guilds Cerftificate in DJ'ing and Equipment set up, and it was the time in his life were he needed to be earning a salary, so he was forced to get into a job!From this he wanted to still be involved, and got his hands on a copy of Reason 2.5, after a year or so on this he began producing his own tracks on his laptop, showing them to friends who urged him to send them out!!!Recently, after 3 years or so using Reason he was offered a 12 months promotional contract from ElectroGrooveRecords.Com - who offered to promote him as an artist on Beatport.com - BeatsDigital.com - PlayItTonight.com - JunoDownlad.com etc. and ElectroGrooveRecords.comHe also began emailing artists on his myspace, asking for advice and general info on how some artist got where they are now! He met a fantasticly set of talented producers, (David Moralee & Davie Walker) who helped him massivley, he is currently working with on a couple of tracks, Now using Cubase and Reason his tracks are sounding better and better everyday!From this the story unfolds, every week is different and so far everything is looking up for Smiley,Thanks for taking the time to read into me and my life so far!!
