Singer, songwriter, YURI…born August 9th…raised in Kobe, Japan;YURI started singing professionally at the age of 16 with a local Jazz quartet in her hometown of Kobe. Upon graduating from high school, she attended and graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. While attending Berklee, she was the chosen performer of the American National Anthem at the Foxboro Stadium, home of the New England Patriots in Boston, MA. After graduating from Berklee, YURI has performed and or worked with the likes of Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Toshinobu Kubota, Kreva, AI, Sakura, Carly Simon, gospel singer Andre Crouch, Hank Shocklee (producer and member of Public Enemy),Walter Beasley among many others.
