Some forever favourites are Nation of Ulysses, Leonard Cohen, the last two Lifetime albums, Cap 'n Jazz, Astral Weeks, Os Mutantes, Love, the And/Fall On Proverb 45, Adorable, Suede, Gram Parsons, The Van Pelt, Fugazi, Embrace,....Pizza Party just turned me on to this Ariel Pink fellow and I've been liking that more every spin.Saw The Tyde the other night and I'm sold on that sea side sound.
Wim Wenders, Coen Bros., Wilson/Anderson, Some David Lynch (Blue Velvet), and a new favourite, FUBAR. Some others along the way like Happiness, Lost In Translation, In The Bedroom, Office Space, and old ones too like Young Frankenstein, Sabrina, Roman Holiday, Weekend, Touch of Evil, L'Avventura, and on gloomy rainy days I like droning oddities like Sans Soleil, Dog Star Man, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, and Wings of Desire. Oh, and documentary films too.
Sometimes I like to watch it and other times I like to throw things at it from the couch like books and lamps. Beer bottles (Pabst Blue Ribbon particularly) too, but only after five o'clock.
