Little Jody are one of Queensland's best punk-pop bands. So? You ask. What is the big deal? There are many punk-pop bands in the world. Why should I go out of my way to check out these guys? Well, you're a tough audience, but what I was going on to say, until you rudely interrupted me is that, Little Jody has been together for over 5 years, played some of the biggest and best gigs and sold cd's like hot cakes at a popular hot cake shop. How foolish do you feel now?
The Little Jody sound has been described as Punk/Rock/Pop, with a dash of emo. With catchy melodies and lyrics that will have you singing along. The audible influences have said to be related to the, catchyness of Reel Big Fish but still the rock of Green Day Dookie era.. Also know for guitar soloing alike Guns N Roses (or at least they think so). But what pulls them away from everyone else is the time that is taken to perfect each song.
Out of all the bands in the world Little Jody is definitely one of them and because of this, have played almost all the venues large to small, from the local pub to Mary Street Nightclub to the main stage at Charged, spanning over NSW and QLD. Every show each member is always giving 100% the main reason being, they enjoy it. Each year they have been a must see band for the Bedlam Skate & Music festival. The band has been mentioned in publications such as the Bayside Bulletin, Redlands Time, Rave Magazine and other street press. Little Jody has been interviewed and heard on a select group of Australian radio stations. Lets not forget headlining "Charged Festival 2004".
The band recorded their second EP at Session Lounge Studios earlier last year. The 6 track EP included well-known songs such as Not Alone and I Just Want To Be Free. What next? What isn't next is the question.
But if you seriously want to know what is next, here it is;
Currently due to hit the studio in October and release their full length album December 2nd. Little Jody has been a drawcard and will be for years to come.
