About Me

It's often hard to romanticise your environment if youre an artist or musician in the UK. There's no sitting on a porch at night as the fireflies buzz around your guitar. There's no walking drunk down Broadway towards a piano in a smoke filled bar, so I guess Ive had to settle for drinking red wine and writing songs at home by myself, possibly by candle light if that adds to the aesthetic, but even if it did, it would be lie.
I used to play in band called the Copperpot Journals. We were together for 5 years and split up in the middle of 2004. The NME, Q and various other publications said a lot of nice things about us, so if you were to listen to one thing, listen to our album Pilots, if you can find it ... ...
There's no set style I'm trying to achieve with these songs. Some are stripped down acoustic songs, others are full band songs with a lot of instrumentation. Either way, they're where Im at now The collection will be called 'Dead Scenes' when I eventually get my act together, regards
Gareth

2006: Lists! Schmists!

It's a world renowned cliche that 2006 ends on the last day of the year (how boring...), so it would be as equally fitting to write my 'Favourite Records Of The Year' list... I'm not su...
